it had been 6 years since the war with Gaea. Percy and I were working at Camp Half-Blood for the summers since we left camp. The day seemed like any other, the kids were learning archery, the satyrs were looking for other demigod children, but what set this day apart from the rest was that it was the day Percy and I met.
I was walking down to the lake wondering why Percy wanted to talk to me here. "Hey Seaweed Brain! Watcha bring me down here for?" I asked. He turned around grinning like a fool.
"Annabeth you're finally here! I was worried you wouldn't come."
"Well yeah, I got your note. Why wouldn't I be here."
"Ahh, nevermind. Wanna go for a stroll?"
We walked down the beach when suddenly he took out a cookie, of course, this was Percy so it was blue. He split it in half, "Here." and gave me the bigger part. "Thanks." We kept walking, not too slow but not too fast either. It was at that point that I noticed his hair was combed, he never combs his hair. Then I started to notice other things like the way he kept reaching for his coat pocket. Then something I hadn't expected happened. He got down to one knee, "Annabeth," he said "You are the salt to my sea, the anchor to my ship, the words to my story, you are my only strength. You are the one thing that kept me sain in Tartarus." It was at that point when he took out a small box and opened it. "Annabeth I want to build something permanent, will you marry me?" My heart seemed to skip a few beats. "Oh Seaweed brain! Of course, I will. Of course!" The sound of thunder and lightning came, The waves at the beach splashed more vigorously. "Thank you, Hera!" Percy Yelled. Suddenly cheers went up behind the bushes, a whole bunch of campers led by Clarise came out. "Is there NO Privacy" I yelled, but I wasn't really mad. They picked us up, then threw us in the lake. As soon as we touched the surface a bubble of air started to form around me and Percy. We stayed down there for what seemed like hours just telling stories, and laughing about our adventures. When we came up everybody was waiting for us. "It took you long enough!" Clarise cried. "I swear to gods. Did you all know about this?" Percy asked. "Well, I heard you talking to yourself about it down by the pier though I suspected that you were talking to your dad." Grover noted, "So I told everyone, and we were stalking you since." Jason elbowed Grover "You didn't need to talk about the stalking thing." he whispered to Grover. "Anyway, congrats guys!" Leo said. The chatting went on for a while. Soon I was getting tired. I told Percy I was going to bed, he decided to go as well. We left our friends to gossip some more and marched down to our shared room in the big house. I love you wise girl was the last thing I heard before falling asleep.
