Spoiler Warning! This is a scene from the finale!

A/N: There's obviously a character death.

Honor

The blaze of the banished prince's fire flew past me as I stumbled backwards. I lost my balance and fell onto the ice bridge when the boy shot an array of blasts at me. Gazing up over his shoulder, I realized that the moon was once again in the sky. But how could it be there after I killed the spirit?

"It can't be!" I shouted as I felt my heart leap into my throat. The overpass of compressed snow started to numb my hand.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a cerulean glow. Water like walls rose above the bridge and began to curve down toward me. My reflexes told me to move out of the way, but I was too fatigue and could only crawl. The exiled prince simply rolled out of Harm's way. I tried to dig my fingers into the snow as the hand restrained me and slowly pulled me away. I struggled to free myself, but it did not loosen at all. If anything, it became tighter.

To my surprise, the boy rushed to the edge with an outstretched arm and yelled, "Take my hand!"

An awkward feeling filled me as I stared at the prince. His gold colored eyes seemed entirely sincere. Did he really want to help me? I was about to take his hand, but then I sterned my face and pulled back my arm.

I will not be rescued by a traitor.

The hand suddenly plunged into the frigid ocean. As I went under, I saw the boy stare down at me with a dismal look on his face. Why did he care? The ice cold water began to freeze my body. I swallowed much of it as precious oxygen escaped my lungs. Before everything went black, I saw the golden eyes of that traitor. I die with honor…

A/N: You might wonder why I wrote this about Zhao. He's not my favorite character, if that's what you're thinking. No, Zuko's my fave. I wrote this for two reasons: 1) I wish I could learn more about his past that we barely know anything about. 2) I just found out why he wouldn't take Zuko's hand; he didn't want to loose his honor by being rescued by a traitor.
