The Tell

Melanie's POV

(at the video store)

I was in the car with my parents, freaking out, there was another attack and it involved me. I was at the video store trying to get a movie when I saw the lights go out and a weird growl when all I see is an animal come towards me I scream and it gets scared away by something and goes out the window. The paramedics already checked me and Stiles' dad already told me not to go to school tomorrow and call my parents. While I'm waiting for them to get there I am comforted by Stiles. You see Stiles is my best friend and so is Scott, we have been friends since kinder. I have had a crush on Stiles since the 3rd grade, but he only has eyes for Lydia Martin and its sickening. he told me that he will visit me after school and I said ok. Now I'm at home laying in my bed trying to fall asleep.

(the next day, after school)

I waited for Stiles to visit me, but he was nowhere in sight. It was a few minutes after school, so I decided on heading over to his house. When I got there I rang the doorbell and the sheriff answered, "Hi Papa Stilinski, I was wondering if Stiles was here?" I asked. "Hi Mel, but I'm sorry Stiles isn't here he went to go visit Lydia," he said I felt a pang of hurt in my heart. "oh, ok um goodbye," I said disappointedly. I went for a walk through the woods to clear my head. Of course, he went to visit Lydia, Its always Lydia, I thought. I found a tree to lean on and sat there with tears in my eyes. I took out my purse and looked for the only way to rake my pain away. I pulled out a small blade and slid it across my wrist to release my pain. I rested there for a while, seeing the blood trickle down my arm. When I here an animalistic growl and look to see it getting dark and looking around to find the source. I turn my head and see a large wolf come towards me, I scream as it bites me when everything goes black.

Derek's POv

I hear a girl scream followed by the Alpha's howl. I run towards the source of the scream to see a beautiful young lady. I see a bite from the Alpha and see cuts along her wrist as if by self-mutilation. I carry her to the house and lay her down on the couch and wait for her to wake up.
