"A Darker Side"

In this world our sins are quite simple, choosing death over innocent life, hands tainted with the blood of those who never had fault, those who never wanted was or conflict, all because of greed, power and money. The innocent is killed, another life is taken.
May it be a knife, a gun, or by sheer force, it causes death. Kicking the weak when they have already fallen, showing no mercy, no sympathy.
Ending a human life. An innocent life, killing in battle, the soldiers of war, fight for peace, yet end life…. Lives the once wanted to protect. They say kill or be killed, master or be mastered, natural selection as they say. Wanting freedom but are left in their chains.
Once the society your working for is done with you, they just let you go, leaving you alone in the dark, no one there for you, wandering alone without a purpose, a now pointless life, knowing nothing but to hold a gun, wield a knife, and pilot a machine that ca cause mass destruction, knowing nothing but to kill, felling no remorse or mercy.
A lot of people want to live, but yet they die. A cruel irony isn't it? Humans are so vulnerable to being hurt, being lost or worse destroyed. The most basic instinct of any living creature is to live… to survive, to thrive and live. And why do people want to kill one another? Because they are the ones who gain from it.
It makes me sick.
Where is all the morality and righteousness that once existed? The justice and truth that was once there? It was people who created "morality" and "righteousness" and it is they who destroyed it, all for their own benefit.
History does repeat itself, how many wars has the earth seen? How many revolutions has it? We never did learn from our mistakes, bloodshed and turmoil everywhere, the persecution of their enemies, the people they hated so much….. I guess some things never change.
Homicidal and suicidal cases, natural disasters, how ever you fut it, it involves death.
It is an never ending cycle, the weak are killed by the strong, it has always been and always will be, every minute of everyday death occurs, but yet another life is brought into the world. A cycle that will never change and a balance that will always remain.
