The door of the tardis creaked open, sending a chill down Rose's spine along with a few stray snowflakes past her cheek
"Where did you say we were again?" Rose said, walking back to The Doctor. He was madly flipping switches, trench coat flopping around. Pulling up his glasses, he looks at the screen.
"It appears we have landed in Paris."
"Ok then, when did we land?" Rose walked back to him, and draped her hands around his waist. The Doctor looks away from the monitor and into Rose's eyes.
"Well it seems it is January 1980, a wonderful time full of culture, beauty, and food."
"I'll race you to the café!"
"Oh try me!" The Doctor spun Rose around before she took off out the door. The Doctor watched her go and smiled to himself. He leaned one elbow on the central console and ran the other through his head. Rose looked back over her shoulder,

He shyly smiled and bent down to her, touching his lips on hers an-
The alarm woke Rose with a yelp. She turned over and slapped the button down. Her room was empty, even cold. Her eyes searched each inch, swearing that he would pop out from behind a dresser, with a "Surprise!". But there was no hidden Doctor, no "surprise", no warm smile. Just Rose, all alone.
"Its not fair!" Rose screamed, pushing her face into the pillow, smothering her cries.
"Its not fair Doctor! I loved you, I needed you! I thought we could be with each other forever!" She threw herself off her bed and rummaged through her bag, tears blinding her. Only when her hand clasped the metal handle did she stop crying. With shaking hands, she leaned against the bed, gun to the side of her head.
"I loved you doctor…" she whispered to the empty room.
"Through space…" click
"…and time." bang
