The day was coming to a close and the sidewalks were slick with fresh rain. One of the only buildings still open was the library in town. That where I was headed. I could hear people talking about the new found serial killer known as Kira. He didn't scare me. In fact, I supported him. Most people would say that what he was doing was wrong but I didn't beleive that. Ever since middle school, I had hated criminals of any kind. One day when my friend and I were walking home from school together, a man in black jumped out of an alleyway and took my friend with him. I waited until dark, and finally, she returned. Her face was dirty and her clothing ripped. I asked what happened but she just kept walking. She never talked to me again after that night. Two months later, she killed herself. That man had raped her and she never got help. She couldn't live with herself like that, so she ended it. It was all that dirty criminals fault. I was glad when I heard the news of a man passing righteous judgment on those who are cruel. It's like he was getting revenge for all of the people affected by criminals. I reached the library; a huge stone building with lights glowing in the windows. Rain splattered my face as I walked up the steps. I entered the library and the warmth greeted me. I saw a handsome boy sitting across the room reading a law school book. I walked over and sat across from him. He looked up and I was taken by surprise. His features were even more stunning than what I had first thought. "Hello, I'm Light. Light Yagami." He introduced himself. "A pleasure to meet you, my name is (y/n)." He looked back down at his book.
