Percy Jackson.
That was the name of the boy who mysteriously disappeared during the school year.
He was a tall, muscular boy (but not totally ripped) with black, messy hair and gorgeous, sea green eyes. Most girls thought he was hot, or cute. (Molly was more on the cute side.) But seriously- who names their kid Percy? It sounded kind of girly, but Molly guessed that his looks made up for his name.
Also, he was the only popular boy who was nice to everyone. He would probably be even more popular if he wasn't friends with "losers" like Molly; or that his step-dad was Mr. Blofis, the English teacher . He was also considered a "bad-boy" from all of his detentions. But he really wasn't a bad at all.
A lot of girls have asked him out. Mean, popular people like Jenna Ross, to nice, popular people like Kayleen Hall. He would turn them all down, no matter what popular status they were. Or if they were pretty or outrageously beautiful.
Molly never had, and she didn't plan on it either. She was a skinny girl with blond hair with boring brown eyes. (I have brown eyes...) She was a bookworm, loved almost every book she's ever read.
He turned all those girls down because apparently, he had a girlfriend. A smart, blond, athletic girl. She breaks all the stereotypes. (Blonds aren't smart, smart people can't be athletic.) She was absolutely gorgeous too. How did Molly know all of this about Percy Jackson's girlfriend? One, he talks about her almost all the time. Two, Molly had seen that girl outside the doorways of Goode and said she was looking for him. When Percy had come out of the school, he kissed her for a couple of seconds. It also happened when Jenna was just about to go ask Percy out too. It was hilarious to see Jenna's face when they kissed. Then the two walked away holding hands.
But recently, Percy Jackson has disappeared. At first, everyone thought he was sick. Then after two weeks, he was on a vacation. But after two months, people started spreading rumors about his disappearance. Ones like he moved away (but Mr. Blofis was still at the school), his girlfriend broke up with him and he was experiencing a serious heartbreak (but his girlfriend showed up at Goode and said she was looking for him), and even extreme ones like he was kidnapped and lost his memories and couldn't find his way home. The last one was too extreme, but it was a "possibility" Trey Kingston had said. Trey was the class clown, he came up with most of the extreme ones.
The most common one was that he had just transferred to another school because of all the detentions he had. And that's what Molly thought too.
But they were surprised when Mr. Blofis had overheard one of the many rumors and commented, "Oh, he didn't transfer, he just disappeared."
Maybe the "kidnapped and lost memories and couldn't find his way home" wasn't as extreme as everyone thought.
