The Doctor being in one of his adventurous moods had decided to set the T.A.R.D.I.S. controls to the random setting, usually a pretty interesting time happened whenever this happened.
Once his ship had completely materialized he grabbed his coat off the railing and headed out the doors.
As he walked around the small city that he'd landed in The Doctor tried his best to figure out what planet and time he was in, one of his little games to test his knowledge of the universe.
A quick look up at the air showed him a sky full of moons and stars the that were so bright that the fact that it was a sunny day stopped them from shining.
This unique sky could only belong to one planet in the entire universe, The Silver Devastation!
"Why would the T.A.R.D.I.S. bring me here?" The Doctor wondered out loud to himself as he looked around at the people, all of them seeming to be from the far reaches of the universe, walking hurriedly to the center of the city, most of them wearing the color of mourning unique to their people.
Seeing a rather upset looking female Cat Person The Doctor made his way to her, hand outstretched with a handkerchief.
"Thank you." She said taking the offered piece of cloth and wiping her eyes.
"You're welcome." The Doctor replied, "Tell me, I've just landed here, what's happened that's got everyone so upset?"
"You must have been traveling very far not to have heard." She said amazed that someone didn't hear the news.
"Yeah, you could say that."
"They've just brought his body back to us so we can fulfill his wishes."
"They've brought who's body back?" The Doctor asked confused.
"The Face of Boe. He's just died a few months ago. They've just now been able to bring him home to us."
The Doctor couldn't believe his ears, it seems as if the T.A.R.D.I.S. hadn't listened to him when he said random.
"Would you mind if I escorted you to the services?" The Doctor asked her.
"That would be lovely." She answered, "My name is Gwen Jones and you are?
"That's an unusual name for someone of your species isn't it?"
"My name comes from the stories that The Face used to tell the people."
"Ah! I see." The Doctor said thinking quickly, not wanting to be recognized as someone from one of Jack's stories, "Name's John Smith."
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Smith."

The services were beautiful, The Doctor wouldn't have expected anything less from the flamboyant Captain Jack Harkness after all.
As the body of the person that The Doctor had come to realize was indeed his oldest friend was brought into the town square and Novice Hame gave an amazingly touching speech The Doctor noticed something just to the left of the space Jack was about to be buried.
Pulling out his glasses witch gave him almost telescopic vision he could see that it was another grave stone that had been there far longer.
"Who does that second grave stone belong too?" He mumbled to himself as he adjusted his glasses to make out what it said.
Here Lies Ianto Jones
"I will never forget you."
As The Doctor read this a tear fell from his eye.
"Goodbye, Jack." He said as he walked back into the mass of people and back to the T.A.R.D.I.S.
