There hasn't been a Liar Game fanfic for like, months? So here's one for all of you Liar Game fans like me! :D Hope you guys enjoy.
DISCLAIMER: Shinobu Kaitani owns Liar Game.
"AKIYAMA-SAN? What... Is... This?"
"Hn?"
Nao was standing at the door with her teddy-bear handbag lying on the floor. Her face depicting a very shocked expression, the muscles in her arms limp. The state of Akiyama-san's apartment.
Slowly, she lifted her finger to touch the white walls, which were made of plaster, and stared in shock at the white powder adorning her skin.
Then she looked up and heaved an exasperated sigh at the room that lay before her.
Clothes. Food wrappers. Crumbs. Papers. Books. Plates. Bottles. Cans. Random knick-knacks. The teddy bear she gave him. Paper aeroplanes. They looked well acquainted with the room, and each had found it's own cozy space, on the floor, on the table, draped by the window, hanging on the lamp.
How could anyone live in such living conditions?
Akiyama took the hint and sighed. "You're probably bewildered at the state of my house?"
The look on her face answered it all.
Shinichi seriously didn't get why Nao was so frightened by the sight of the apartment. I mean sure, it wasn't exactly the neatest house in the world, but it was still okay. And all the things 'cluttering' the apartment gave it a nice, homey feel, and a nice, homey smell.
Relatively.
She didn't even have to drop by his house, anyway! (Although he wanted her to, of course, but shhhh.)
The paralysed look in her eyes turned into one full of determination, and all of a sudden, Shinichi Akiyama became a tiny bit scared.
"OKAY, AKIYAMA-SAN!" Nao placed her hand on her hips, and became the nagging mother she always was inside. "TIME TO CLEAN UP!"
She was already picking up the books and placing them in a pile beside the flat couch, which was dusty beyond comparison, and wiping each one of the books with a damp rag and a cheerful smile. It was like she had been cleaning things and arranging things all her life.
Which probably was true, seeing the state of her own house.
Groaning, Shinichi rummaged around for a cardboard box (which had a plentiful stock in the living room as well) and started placing his dirty clothes in it to bring to the laundromat. And with both of them helping to make the world a better place, one house at a time, the area they were currently in cleared up by a reasonable margin. Within about an hour, the house was finally rid of the mess, and it resembled it's original state once more.
"You know, Nao, you didn't really have to do this..."
"Nonsense, Akiyama-san! It's the least I could do for you. Also, I just can't stand untidy places."
He had to admit that the place looked considerably brighter and cleaner and nicer after what she had done. And he was quite pleased with it.
"Mmm... Lunch?"
She smiled.
"Lunch."
I know it's seriously short, but this is just a small contribution to the Liar Game community while waiting for Young Jump to publish the manga. :P Oh, and if you want to know more, go to the forums at MangaFox for Liar Game. A lot of news. :D Hahas and I was listening to the Liar Game soundtrack as I was writing this.
Hope you enjoyed it :) Review?
