Me Being The Winning Bee
I may come from a bad
Part of town
In South Los Angeles
I'm a young girl who struggles
With her home life
I enter in a spelling bee
At my school
And as a result I became the winner
And go on to compete in the
National Spelling Bee
And as a result of this
Becoming someone in her
Community that
They can be
Proud of
As well as facing her own
inner demons
