Nightmares that are hers too

A/N: I really loved Prue when she was in Charmed... and I was sad that she was killed. It took me some time to get used to Page... But I like her now... She kind of reminds me of a young Phoebe. Anyway. This was written having 'Haunted eyes' in mind.

She shook him awake.
Startled, and out of breath, Gunn stared with unfocused eyes at the woman now towering over him. Slowly his heart beat calmed down, his senses returned, and he remembered where he was. In their bedroom, it was night, and nothing threatening was here.
"Are you all right?" asked the concerned voice of his girlfriend.
"Yes..." he was collected enough to lie like he always did in this situation. "It was only a nightmare."
"Gunn..." started his girlfriend, her hand lay calmingly on his chest, stroking him into calmness. Please let me in... tell me the truth, was what she wanted to say. Instead she tilted her head to his, her lips brushed his cheek, while her other hand now stroked his head.
"Page... I'm fine... really." This time his lie sounded much more convincing. He knew if she had been anyone else, she probably would have believed it. She nodded her head, and then settled down next to him again. She rested her head on his shoulder, her hand now left its place on his chest, and she used both hands to hug his body to her.
Sometimes I feel like I never really had you... Sometimes I get the feeling like you'll leave me...soon. She never voiced her concerns to him, instead stayed awake for a while, listening to his breath evening out. She loved him, knew that he loved her too, but sometimes she wondered when his nightmares would take the overhand.
Sometimes she wondered when his unnamed nightmares would be hers too.
