A/N: Hey guys! Happy 4/13! To celebrate, I put up a short introduction of the of the multi-chapter fanfiction I'm currently working on, "The Twelve Dancing Nobles". This work is based off the fairy tale, "The Twelve Dancing Princesses". I can't say yet when I'll post the first chapter, but it will be soon. Anyways, I hope you enjoy reading as I did writing this.
The Rainbow Rumpus Reporter
13th of April;
The people of Rainbow Rumpus Party Town gathered outside the balcony of the Royal Castle. They cheered as the Emperor emerged to give his speech.
"Hello to all citizens," He began. "The bad, the good, and the not-so-good-but-still-pretty-okay. You are all welcome here today!"
"Now, let's cut straight to the point." He said quickly, wanting to immediately say what had to be said. "My kids have been sneaking out of the castle at night. Yes, all twelve of them. I need someone to find out how, because the little shits won't tell me."
"I honestly can't fathom how they managed to do it." He added. "I lock them inside the castle day and night so they don't get up to this kind of fuckery."
He then began to tell the people why he brought them here to listen to him. "Anyone who would like to try and find out, be my guest. Literally, you'd get to stay in the castle for three night."
He then further explained the terms of this. "If you don't find out by the end of your stay, you will be beheaded. A stay at the Royal Castle isn't cheap you know." As awful as the Emperor makes this sounds, the reward he describes might just be worth the risk.
"If you do find out, the volunteer one wish. With in reason, off course. I can't make anyone sprout wings, with magic being fake as shit!" With that, our beloved Emperor bid the participants good luck and his citizens farewell, as he re-entered the Royal Castle, the crowd erupting in applause behind him.
