"Yeah okay! Tomorrow works just fine!" Max smiled softly and Kate smiled back. The brunette pulled out her phone and typed 'tea with Kate' into her calendar for the next day.
"Thanks Max." She said softly. Max grinned.
"Hey, it's no problem! I really do like hanging out with you Kate. I know it's been rough for you lately and I'm always here."
Kate smiled and started to say something but Victoria strutting towards them startled her and she shrank back behind her door.
"Max, you're coming with me."
"Victoria? Something wrong?" The blonde said nothing but instead just dragged her away. She tugged her roughly into her room, and slammed the door. She glared at the shorter girl who only tipped her head in confusion.
Victoria would have found it adorable had she not been so angry. "What the hell is your deal?"
"What? Where is this coming from?" Victoria was suddenly only inches away from her, face twisted in anger. Max recoiled, taking a step back, blue eyes flickering to green. Max paused, she expected to see anger reflected back at her, rage, but all she saw... Was fear?
Suddenly it clicked and Max almost smiled. Victoria was jealous, not only was she jealous but she was insecure. Now that she thought about it, she had been hanging out with Chloe and Kate a whole lot. Victoria must have felt threatened, maybe even scared Max was losing interest.
That was absolutely adorable.
Max grinned and reached out and cupped the blonde's cheeks. "Tori, calm down. You're getting worked up over nothing." She drew her in and kissed her softly. She could feel Victoria huff a breath out against her cheeks.
"Tori, you don't need to get jealous. I'm only friends with Chloe and Kate, but I love you." She punctuated her words with another kiss.
Victoria froze under her hands and Max quickly realized why. It was the first time she'd ever said 'I love you.' Victoria Stared at her and Max dropped her hands and blushed. She coughed awkwardly and yet she didn't want to take it back. She crossed her arms across her chest and shrugged. "I do. Love you."
Victoria still hadn't said anything and Max squirmed. "Okay uhm, well I'm going to go now." Max slipped past the blonde intent upon getting out the door and hiding in her room for the rest of her life. Victoria grabbed her wrist and spun her back around, kissing her hard.
"I love you too." She breathed. She pulled the shorter girl against her and held her tightly. It was hilarious and a bit sad how much trouble Victoria had with processing and expressing her emotions. But it was alright, Max didn't mind. She'd gotten pretty good at reading her and Victoria might not say much but her eyes always spoke volumes.
Max laughed breathlessly. "Thank god, I was really freaked out for a second there." Victoria huffed.
"Shut up." Max giggled and tipped her head up, standing on her tip toes to meet her eyes.
"Make me." She smirked. Victoria growled and shoved her backwards onto her bed. She immediately straddled her and crashed their lips together. Max let herself fall back, dragging the blonde with her and keeping their lips locked.
Max wiggled her way up the mattress until she could lay down completely without half her body hanging off the bed awkwardly. Victoria followed after her, lips trailing down her neck and across her collar bone.
Max giggled and Victoria stopped kissing her to glare at her. "What are you laughing about?"
Max simply grinned up at her and laughed. "You love me." She said it like the words were a precious treasure. She laughed and kissed the blonde again, laughing against her lips. "You love me."
Victoria rolled her eyes but a small smile tugged at her lips. "Yeah, I love you."
