Chapter 1
It all started at Sectionals. A male curly haired eighteen year old and a hazel eyed, brown hair woman. They came to specifically see the New Directions. Only for one person though.
"Shelby, what are we doing here? This competition is filled with delinquents. The result won't matter. We'll beat then anyway." the male lead said looking boringly at the sectionals pamphlet.
"Quiet, Jesse. I have business here." the middle age lady replied. The curly haired male lead rolled his eyes. The flashing lights and bell signaled them to sit and directed them straight to their seats.
The juvie girls….
…Jane Addams Academy set list was boring to Jesse. He wondered what was up with the wheelchairs. There was no symbol in their performance.
The deaf school couldn't even keep a melody. Needless to say, they were not even close to winning Sectionals.
Jesse didn't know if he could last to end of this sectionals competition. The intro for "Don't Rain On My Parade" starting playing. "Hmmm. Interesting." Jesse thought to himself. A girl who endearing face was seen to be singing. Her voice was strong and experienced. She was the definitely the star. "She's beautiful." Jesse blurted out quietly. Shelby looked directly at Jesse, shocked, and returned her attention towards the stage. She replied softly to Jesse, "She's my daughter."
Jesse looked at her surprised. He could now see the resemblance: the nose, the voice and hair. Jesse wanted to know what happened. He knew that he shouldn't push Shelby, for she looked like she was on the verge of tears. Jesse searched through the pamphlet to find a name: Rachel Berry.
Right from that moment on, he knew he had to meet her.
Author's Note: This is my first official fanfiction. I'm sorry for the shortness of this chapter. I'll try to update every week. By the way, the fanfiction follows along most of the story line in the show. I might change a few things but mostly it will be like the TV show. This is Waffles signing off.
