Hey guys! I am going to do something different. Don't worry, I'll still be writing Outsiders' Life. My english teacher had us create a Trickster story so I used the characters from Ice Age. Hope you like it. I do not own Ice Age
In this story, I will start it off by telling you about the characters. We have Manny: a mammoth that's just starting out on his own. Ellie: a teenage mammoth, also the little sister of Manny. And last but not least, we have Oscar: a teenage sabre-tooth tiger who doesn't like Manny and Ellie much.
The setting is in the Ice Age in the early morning seeing Manny waking up, he turns to his little sister, Ellie, who is still asleep. He got up and went to go put on clothes for the day. When he comes back, he sees Ellie, dressed, and finishing setting out breakfast. "It took you long enough," she said grinning. "Look who's talking." he retorted back, but they were both just playing around with each other.
Later that day while searching for food for dinner, they heard a growl, and turned to see that it was only Oscar. "What do you want Oscar?" Manny asked, he and Ellie didn't like him much. "Oh not much, just wondering why you're traveling around unprotected." Oscar said. "What do you mean? Manny stated, "I'm just saying, when there are a lot of predators around and you are not protected, is all."
"Yeah, uh-huh, well nice to see you, so bye!" Manny was about to lead Ellie away from the clearing when the sabre shouted to them. "Wait! I am something that can protect you from predators" Oscar shouted "Really?" squealed Ellie both the boys rolled their eyes at her. "Yes indeed Ellie," Oscar replied "and here it is." With that he pulled out some leaves.
Manny scoffed "Leaves, you're kidding, right? Those are just leaves." Oscar looked at him in disbelief, "Oh no no no my mammoth friend, you see, if you eat these leaves, they will protect you from predators." he said. "Oh can't we try them Manny, please?" Ellie said, "Ugh, fine." Manny took the leaves from Oscar and gave them to put in her purse. "Now let's go." And with that he and Ellie left, "Oh just you two wait." Oscar said to himself before heading off.
The next day, Ellie and Manny went for a ride with skates, "Ok let's try those leaves." Ellie exclaimed once they stopped, "Alright" Manny sighed he really didn't want to, but he thought it might be fun. They both chewed it. Little did they know that Oscar gave them leaves that are once eaten, can make that person smell, making it easier for the predator to find them. "Do you smell something?" Ellie asked, sniffing at the air, Manny agreed. They continued to walk along until they came across Oscar and his pack.
"Well well well, what have we here?" taunted Oscar, "What do you want?" Manny inquired. "Oh not much, just thought I'd see how those leaves worked, and they work perfectly." he said. "What are you…" Manny realized the smell, "You gave us stinkweed!" Ellie gasped with Oscar still smirking. "That's right, now, why don't we get this over with, shall we?" Oscar and his pack came at him but they forgot one thing, mammoths are ten times bigger and stronger. The fight didn't last more than ten minutes before Oscar and his pack ran off. "I don't about you, but I don't ever want to see him again." Ellie said Manny chuckled, "Me neither sis, me either."
