That's Not Me … But I'm Fine With It

Serena's POV

Well, here I am. Well, not really me, my ghost. I died a few years ago. It was a sad death, but it could have been prevented. But that's too bad. Now I'm out of my friend and families' lives forever. This, in some cases, might actually be good. Like for my mom. Now, she can focus on my messed-up younger brother, Erik. I just got in the way. Now, for my two best-friends, Blair Waldorf and Nate Archibald, I guess things got better now that I'm gone. I mean, I always got in the way of their relationship.

Daniel. Otherwise known as Dan, was my one true love. Now he goes out with some girl; Vanessa, I think. But seeing that he is perfectly happy, I'm okay. Because I loved- no, I still love him. He was devastated that I had passed away, and he never forgot me.

Kati and Isabel were sad that I died, but happy too. Now they could be Blair's best friend! Not. She was too sad to even go outside. Unless she was going over to Nate's, that is. Nate was sad, but happy because now he could focus mainly on Blair.

That was two years ago, when we were 20. Now, they are 22. I can hear their thoughts, I can read their dreams, and I hear what they see. I also watch over them… and everything that they do.

End Serena's POV

"Chuck, do you think it's time?" Nathaniel Archibald asked his best friend, Chuck Bass. Chuck had once been a horny freak, but turned into a witty young man.

"Nate, as your true and honest best friend, I think you should do I, now or never." Nate smiled. "Thanks, Chuck."

Blair smiled and ran up to Nate, her boyfriend of like, a million years, and hugged him from behind. He smiled at her and took her to his room.

"Natie, uh, where are you taking me?" He smiled and placed his finger upon her lip and shushed her. "You'll see."

In his room he got down on one knee. "Blair, uh, will you marry me? And make me the happiest man alive?" Blair gasped. "Natie! Yes, yes, yes! I will marry you!" She started to cry and hugged him, while he let the tears stain his clothing, because he knew those were tears of happiness, not sadness.

"Blair I love you." She nodded and smiled happily. "I love you too."
