I've chosen to completely rewrite this story. First of all, the original was pretty badly written and nonsensical (what was I thinking, involving characters from Disney?!), and second, some things were supposed to lead to stories that I've now decided against writing and thus making those plot threads useless. Still, I intend to finish this fic off, but it will take a while even after rewriting this part of the story.
Without further ado, I ask you to enjoy the story. If you find something you don't like, then tell me and I'll try to correct it in future chapters, if possible.
Majo Isabelle smashed apart a small monitor.
She had had it. Everything she had done so far to gain control of Majo Kai had been for naught.
First, her plan to seize power by taking magic from countless Witch Apprentices was ruined by those Ojamajos, particularly Onpu. Then, her further attempts to exploit the various Elemental Witches all, one-by-one, ended in disaster. Furthermore, each time her plan failed, her ragtag group lost another member until only she and her fairy, Bebe, were left.
It was far more heartbreaking and maddening for her than one would assume…
Nonetheless, she still had plenty of plans. In fact, she even had schematics for a veritable army of machines which can help to dominate those Witches. Additionally, she thought of having the Shadows as her slaves; such a thing would be a complete boon for her goals, given their powers.
She had little idea why she began plotting her schemes anymore. She used to have a reason, but it had since passed slipped her mind. Now, she just carries on because it's all she can do right.
Resting nearby on a small stand with a smallish bed was Bebe. An accident in the past had left her mute, but she remained relatively sane. At least, as sane one can get when they spend the gist of their time with a Witch who could very well be bipolar. Still, she enjoyed her master's bouts of insanity, or "genius" as she calls it, as it gives her the best opportunities for some silent sarcasm.
Majo Isabelle slapped her hand over her face. "Why…Why do these simulations fail every time?!" she shouted, angrily, "Every damn time! Whenever I put in that Queen's Super Witch Form, the simulator always registers a loss. They always do!" She groaned in gruel frustration. "DAMNIT!"
She was at a loss for words by now. All she could do now was look at the screen of her only remaining intact monitor. All she could look at was the list of hundreds of failed simulations. She slumped down into her seat.
"I've had to relocate my lair fifteen times in the last few months alone. And they keep finding me. Am I this obvious? Am I really this weak? Am I now officially the butt of everyone's jokes?!" Bebe, hearing her master's words, flew over to the evil Witch to comfort her. She sat on her shoulder, rubbing it down in hopes of soothing her. "Thank you, Bebe. But I can't do anything as long as I'm stuck like this…"
Something flashed on the screen. Majo Isabelle caught it and quickly returned to her senses. The screen now had what seemed to be an attachment. Wasting no time, Majo Isabelle opened it up and quickly found several new items. Several powerful new items.
They were schematics that much was certain, but they seemed far more advanced than anything she had ever invented. However, they also seemed incomplete. And she was a genius, was she not? She could complete these easily. And she could even make them more powerful than what they were promising.
"Bebe," Majo Isabelle began, "I think I feel some genius coming on! Although I might have to wait a few weeks to complete these…"
Bebe levitated off of her master's shoulder and sighed. She was still happy that her master was now able to plot something…and quite possibly become a much bigger threat than she was now…
"Let's see what she does," said a decidedly male voice. It was a dry tone.
"You know what might happen, do you not?" warned a female voice. She sounded quite worried.
"I'm surprised you would pull this kind of move," another female voice spoke up. Hers sounded a lot like Majo Isabelle's, but with a harsher tone.
"You know him," another male voice replied. His voice was just like the first male's, except it had more emotion to it. "He just loves making messes for those Light Witches to clean up!"
"And if they cannot?" a third female voice began. Her tone was scathing, strict, and orderly.
"We will intervene," the first male voice replied, "We were ultimately the ones who created those schematics. And you know her like that back of your hand, so the truly fatal flaws deliberately placed inside will never be found by the likes of her."
"She's plenty desperate enough to overlook them," the second female voice retorted, "In the meantime, we'll just sit here and see how this all plays out…"
Thirteen figures burst through the branches that serve as the portal to Majo Kai. Six of them greatly resembled six of the other members of the group, albeit with a darker color scheme. All were weary and shaken from the events that forced them to return and wasted no time in entering the Maho-Dou.
Majo Rika and her fairy, Lala, who were both still awake, turned to the lighter-colored girls with surprise.
"What just happened?!" Majo Rika shouted, caught off-guard. She then turned to the darker girls. "And why are they here!?"
The lighter group, the Ojamajos, paused to catch their breath. These six in particular were Hazuki, Aiko, Onpu, Pop, Momoko, and Hana. Doremi, the leader of the group and the one who held them together, and Hazuki were both unconscious. The former was being carried by Pop and Hana while Onpu and Aiko helped the latter, who was wearing a breathing apparatus.
The darker group was the Ojamajos' Shadows: The Shadow Ojamajos, as they were called. Only six of them were present: Shadow Hazuki, Shadow Aiko, Shadow Onpu, Shadow Pop, Shadow Momoko, and Shadow Hana, with Shadow Aiko being carried by Shadow Hazuki. All of them settled down to recover, but remained shaken by whatever they had just experienced.
"I think it'll be better if we start from the beginning," Onpu surmised.
"Just make it quick," Shadow Onpu half-demanded.
The group moved into the side room. It was crowded, but they managed. Onpu and Aiko laid Hazuki on one sofa while Pop and Hana did the same for Doremi.
Once all was said and done, the eleven of them began their explanation of the horrible events that had recently transpired…
