Summary: It's time for them both to face the truth.

Disclaimer: Not mine, never has been, prolly never will be.

Feedback: Is adored. Like I said before, Con. Crit. in particular.

A/N: I didn't realize it until I was about half-way done with this, but I don't use the boys' names until the very last sentances. Hehe, my subconscious is a weird place. I might re-do it, because the whole name thing is a bit confusing. Also, this is based of Ian Van Dahl's song, "Reason", which it was originally a songfic to, but I didn't like how it came out and re-did it without the lyrics.

Elizabeth gazed at the sea, her expression wistful as the wind played with her hair. He approached her as quietly as possible, and gave her hand a squeeze. She turned to face him, though the smile was very fake.

"I wanted to talk to you, Elizabeth." Her face told him she was scared and maybe even curious.

"What is it?" He inhaled sharply, and sighed.

"We've got to stop lying to each other." She turned her face towards the sea once more, and sighed as well. He squeezed her hand again as he stood next to her.

"You're right," she told him.

"I love you, Elizabeth, but not the way you'd think." She nodded.

"I...I wish I could see him again...just one last time." Footsteps were heard crunching into the sand as a voice replied,

"Might wan' to look a bit 'arder, then."

Elizabeth's eyes widened as she let go of his hand and flung herself into the arms of Captain Jack Sparrow. Will smiled, and walked with them to the rowboat. As they stepped on board the Pearl, Will thought he saw a small smile in his direction, cast by Anna Maria. 'Maybe I've got a chance.'
