So to get me back into writing I took one of my old stories and re-used. Sorry if bad- better one coming later (hopefully) :P Enjoy!
Newt and Tina were going about the usual feedings and checking on the creatures. They decided to have a relaxing night in while Queenie and Jacob went out for a bit. Over the last couple months, Tina learned about the needs of each creature so well, she and Newt would just split the tasks equally.
Tina was talking to Dougal when she heard her name being called. She looked around and couldn't see Newt. Not a few seconds later, someone started to whistle.
It was the tune of their song. They danced to this particular song at a ball in Scandinavia last year during Newt's book tour.
Newt slowly walked up to her whistling away. He paused and gave her a smile before he started his verse.
"I'll swim and sail on savage seas
with never a fear of drowning.
And gladly ride the waves of life
if you will marry me.
No scorching sun, nor freezing cold
will stop me on my journey" he paused to look directly at her.
"If you will promise me your heart.
And love..." He was waiting for her to sing her part. Seconds passed on complete silence. He sighed.
"And love me for eternity." She sang quietly. He smiled and grabbed her hand. They walked to the grassy field before continuing her part. "My dearest one, my darling dear,
your mighty words astound me.
But I've no need of mighty deeds
when I feel your arms around me." They both laughed in happiness.
"But I would bring you rings of gold,
I'd even sing you poetry!"
"Oh, would you?" Tina teased.
"And I would keep you from all harm
if you would stay beside me!"
"I have no use for rings of gold,
I care not for your poetry.
I only want your hand to hold..."
"I only want you near me!" He sang in joy.
They then joined their voices
together to sing. "To love and kiss, to sweetly hold!
For the dancing and the dreaming!
Through all life's sorrows and delights,
I'll keep your love inside me!
I'll swim and sail on savage seas
with never a fear of drowning!
And gladly ride the waves of life
If you will marry me!"
They were breathless as they held onto each other.
As some of the beasts were still celebrating, Newt slowly let go of Tina before bending down on one knee and pulling a small box out from his pocket. She let out a small gasp.
"So what do you say, Tina?" He paused while grinning madly. "Will you ride the waves of life with me?"
"Oh would ya say yes already!?" Queenie stated sarcastically as she landed next to Jacob. They still had their coats on from the outdoors.
Tina giggled. "Yes. Yes! A thousand times yes!" She answered happily before throwing her arms around him. He stood up and twirled her around before setting her down. Queenie and Jacob erupted in cheers as well as the creatures.
He then kissed her which she gladly returned. They then stopped as Newt slipped the ring on her finger.
The ring was icy blue/green with gray specks and a small diamond. It was simple, but beautiful.
They kissed again before everyone came to congratulate them.
Outside of the case and the apartment, two close stars shined brighter than ever before. It was truly magical.
