Teardrops on My Guitar by Taylor Swift

Teardrops Fade

Chad looks at me.

Sonny smiled as Chad gave her a happy passing glance as the two walked to their studios. The raven-haired girl had so long hidden her feelings for the young man. He probably didn't know she felt anything for him. If only he knew, though.

I want everything we could be.

Chad walked into the So Random! studio, and asked Sonny about the weather expected for the night. Sonny felt her heart flutter just by seeing him and knowing how wonderful he was. "Um, sunny," she answered. "With a chance..." Of loving you forever. "Of rain."

Chad smiled, then nervously said "bye", and walked away. He'd never know it, but Sonny watched him every second.

Can't he tell that I can't breathe?

I can't see anyone when Chad's by my side.

Chad's eyes are beautiful, deep, and endless. Sonny's eyes were unfathomable, passionate.

She's the reason I can't sleep tonight.

Chad lay awake in his bed, thinking about nothing but Sonny; the way he loved it to be.

I'll put his picture down and maybe get some sleep tonight.

The raven-haired girl held the framed picture of Chad to her chest, and closed her eyes, smiling at the ceiling. Soon, she drifted into peaceful, loving sleep.

He's/She's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar; the only one who's got me wishing all night on a shooting star.

Sonny held her hand to her heart, then put it out towards a blue-hued star, wearing a smile on her pure face. Chad covered his heart, and reached for a falling star, dreaming his wish could come true.

He told me he's so in love; he's finally figured it out.

"I think I'm in love...with you," Chad confessed, looking into Sonny's beautiful eyes, deeply wishing they could be his to gaze into.

"...And I, you," Sonny dreamily replied, putting her hands into his.

You're the reason

Sonny and Chad gently pressed their lips into one another's, and felt pure love flow through their hearts and minds. For that instant, everything was at ease. Every heartbeat was floating and in harmony.

The Living End? Never the end.
