It was winter of 2016, exactly one month after Valentine's Day and a one year anniversary of the Hudson's marriage.
Rachel and Finn had been living together since they graduated and left Loser-ville Lima, Ohio. They were high school sweethearts and the best example of the meaning of "soul mates".
Rachel was merely 24 years old, and was in her first year of her first recurring role on Broadway, but even that's no surprise, everyone knew she was going to be a star someday.
Finn was 6 months into his 10th grade Choir teacher at Eleanor Roosevelt High School position, which was only ten minutes from Lea's work and 20 minutes from their apartment. It was an unnoticed dream something only his own Choir teacher could teach him; he never expected to love it this much. He wanted to play football, not teach kids how to dream and sing. To watch other kid discover and fall in love with their own dream was something so magical and foreign to him.
With Finn working during the day and Rachel at night, they rarely got to see each other but post it notes here and there made the heart grow fonder. They just happened to be getting into the swing of marriage, and working full time, they thought that everything was finally perfect and life was starting to look up for them.
Anyway, it was a Saturday morning; Rachel had an oversized chic sweater on with a pair of black leggings and fuzzy house boots, she snuggled up on the couch waiting for her husband to get done with school meetings.
Finally after a half hour he walked in the front door
"Hi baby!" he said laying his briefcase down and walking to the couch where his wife was lying down at.
He laid on top of her gently as he kissed her forehead
"Hi babe" She said in a drowsy type of mood
"What's wrong?" he said moving her hair back behind her ears with his finger
"I think I'm pregnant…."
