A/N: So this is my first supernatural fanfic ever, it's a Pokémon AU….

Tell me if you like it.

Rocks tumbled down blocking yet another possible route, "God damn it Cas!" Dean yelled his voice bouncing of the walls, "You said this was a short cut but we've been here for hours!"

"It is a short cut; you just won't follow the map."

"Men don't use maps."

"Then we're going to be stuck here." Cas replied, he was shuffling around in his bag.

He pulled out the neatly folded map and handed it to Dean before looking for his flashlight, finding it he clicked it on and took the map back.

Dean leaned up on the cave wall watching Cas fumble with the paper, "Got it, we took a wrong turn when the zubats went after the leftover food in your bag."

"So we have to go back there? Isn't there a way around?"

"No."

"What about the zubats, what if they get the food."

"It's just pie Dean you can get more."

Dean stared at the other man, "…What if it was a cheeseburger at risk?"

"But it's not, its pie."

"But what if it was."

"But it's not, how can I be concerned if what you're referring to doesn't exist."

Dean sighed and shook his head before following his friend.

Forty minutes later they had had it out to route 14. "Finally some sun!" Dean said happily brushing the dirt off his leather jacket.

"I don't think it will last for long, the man at the last center said that it would rain soon." Cas replied putting his map away. He looked up the path, "Hey Dean, do you see that?"

"What," Dean mumbled eating the pie he had managed to save from the zubats.

"There's something in the grass up ahead."

"So it's probable a Pokémon, they happen to like tall grass."

"No it's not that," Cas said going to see what it was.

"Cas be careful, it could be dangerous," Dean said following the other.

"Hey it's an egg," Cas said picking it up.

"Cas put that down, you don't want the parents to come back and attack us."

"There's no Pokémon around and it's cold. If I leave it then it will die."

"It's not our problem, we need to get to the center and meet up with Sam and Bobby," Dean said walking down the path.

"But Dean it's a living creature we have to do something!" Cas said cradling the egg and running after Dean.

"Cas put the egg down."

"No, I'm going to care for it."

"What if the parents do come back for it?" Dean said stopping and looking down at the slightly shorter man, "You wouldn't want to separate a family."

"It was abandoned on the side of the road, for all we know a trainer could have ditched it, we should at least take to the pokecenter to make sure it's ok; maybe a breeder will take it. Look there's a long crack on it," Cas rambled, holding the egg up to Dean, "It must have fallen or got step on."

Dean sighed, "Fine we'll let the doctor look it over and if it's healthy then we'll put it back."

Cas frowned a bit but nodded, "That sounds reasonable."

"Good, now let's go, it's getting darker and it looks like it could rain any minute."

The two of them headed down the path and toward the pokecenter in the distance.
