Prologue
Aro paced around his study. It was not a usual thing for him to do which worried him slightly. His main concern was on the fact that the Cullen's had won. It had been an unspeakable topic since they had returned home only a few days ago. He wouldn't be so angry if he had managed to collect the one thing he needed most, Alice. Of course there were others that had caught his attention, Benjamin for example. He had such a marvellous talent. Isabella was also extremely talented in Aro's eyes. With her shield the Volturi would truly be unstoppable.
"Damn!" Aro cried aloud. Every second of every day taunted him. He had allowed some of the most valuable vampires escape his grasp. "There must be a way!"
Maybe, he thought, I could use the non-gifted ones to my advantage. The brute and his blonde-haired beauty perhaps?
Aro remembered that Rosalie Hale longed for a child of her own and that she hoped Isabella died during the birth of dear Renesmee.
The sound of footsteps could be heard. It was Demetri. "I have found one , Master." Aro knew exactly what he was on about. Ever since Eleazar left he had been searching for a vampire with a similar gift.
The future seemed brighter now. Aro had to be careful now, he did not want his precious little Alice discovering his plan. With this new vampire he could find a suitable carrier for the child, all he needed was the father.
Aro looked at Demetri with devilish eyes.
"Rosalie will get her child and I will rip it from her hands." Aro laughed manically whilst Demetri feared for his master's sanity.
