I know I'm late in uploading this and I plan to upload a few stories tomorrow if I can. If I can't, I'll just keep going from here. I've been going through a few things in the last few days, but everything's getting better now.
Alright! With that out of the way, enjoy the story! I hope you guys read and review!

Dialogue Prompt: "I'd rather be dead." "Then I have some good news for you."
...
Ryou's head snapped to the side when a rough hand smacked his cheek. He yelled out in pain and was prevented from soothing the sting due to his wrists being chained to the wall above his head. Tears formed in his eyes as he glared at his attacker and kidnapper.
"I'll ask you again," his kidnapper growled. "What are the secrets of the Millennium Ring?"
"I'd rather be dead than tell you anything," Ryou said with as much venom he could muster.
"Grr. Then I have some good news for you," the man said, reaching into the dark coat around his shoulders. "If you refuse to cooperate, I cannot allow you to live any longer. Not that you were going to leave this place alive anyway."
Ryou turned white as a blade shined in the dim light of his dungeon and soon-to-be final resting place. His throat felt tight and his eyes went wide as the man lifted the weapon above his head and brought it down.
…
"Ahh!" Ryou screamed as he shot up in his bed drenched in sweat and panting heavily.
It was all a dream. There wasn't a mystery man standing over him with a knife and he wasn't about to die.
The white haired male began to calm his breathing. 'What a relief.'
In the midst of Ryou's relief, he didn't realize he'd scared the ever loving crap out of Malik, who had decided of his own volition to spend the night at Ryou's home. He shot up in the futon on the floor of Ryou's room as soon as he heard Ryou scream and looked around frantically. Seeing nothing out of the ordinary, he looked in Ryou's direction with wide eyes.
"Ryou, you scared me to death!" Marik exaggerated though he was still slightly shaken.
"Sorry about that," Ryou said to his friend. "I just had a nightmare."
"Oh okay. Well, I'm going back to sleep," Malik said, lying down and falling back asleep almost instantly with small snores.
Ryou smiled in amusement and followed his friend's example.
