Sabrina Spellman, teenage witch, who looked very pixieish with her short, platinum blonde hair and freckles, sat on a bench outside Greendale Mall next to her boyfriend, Harvey Kinkle, a mortal who was thin with dark hair and brown eyes. She was telling him all about the shoes she had just bought inside the mall while he was waiting out here on the bench for her, but he was clearly more preoccupied with a handheld video game he was playing than with anything she had to say.

"Harvey, are you even listening to me?" Sabrina asked, annoyed.

"Uh huh, babe," he answered without looking up.

"Then did you hear me say that me and my aunts are actually witches and our cat, Salem, is a warlock and can talk?"

"Yeah, that sounds great," said Harvey, still mashing buttons.

"Ugh, that's it!" said Sabrina, standing up and grabbing her shopping bags. Harvey took notice of that and paused his game.

"What's up, Sab?" he asked, innocently.

"What's up? What's up is that you aren't paying any attention to me, as usual," said Sabrina.

"It's just shoes, babe. What's the big deal? I was mostly listening," said Harvey.

"It's not about the shoes," said Sabrina. "This is just the straw that broke the cat's back. Lately you've been more concerned with watching sports, partying with your friends, and playing your silly video games than you have with spending time with me. And when you do manage to fit me into your busy schedule, you act like you'd rather be anywhere else."

"I'm sorry," said Harvey, putting the video game aside. "You have my undivided attention."

Sabrina sighed.

"Well now I don't have anything more to say," she said. "Although, I suppose I could remind you about our date this Saturday night. To the ice rink, remember?"

"Uh oh," said Harvey.

Sabrina gave him a look.

"I forgot that I kinda told my friend Dave I'd help him move this Saturday. I'm the only one he knows with a car and I did actually promise him first."

Sabrina was steamed.

"So then why did you make a date with me?" she asked.

"You know how things slip my mind," said Harvey. "I really do want to spend some alone time with you, Sab, but... I just don't have any time."

Sabrina crossed her arms.

"Well, you do now, Harvey Kinkle. Until further notice, you and I are broken up!"

"But... but... but...," Harvey stammered.

Sabrina just turned and began to walk away.

"Maybe I can find a boyfriend who's a little more attentive," she called back to him as she stormed off.

Harvey just sat there for a moment, stunned, but then shrugged, picked up his video game again, and resumed playing.
