She was the goth. He was the boy that every girl glommed themselves to. He could've chosen from a huge crowd of other girls that just adored him. The girls worshipped the ground he walked on. Nobody understood their relationship, they always wondered about then. Beck and Jade, one of the oddest couples out there. They always showed "Public Displays of Affection" in the spur of the moment. No one understood that either. But to them, all they needed was eachother.
We didn't care if people stared
We'd make out in a crowd somewhere
Somebody'd tell us to get a room
Now, years later, they look back on that relationship. Nowadays, it doesn't seem as glorious as used to, they didn't understand it that much, but they each just lost interest. Beck keeps saying that it was all ok, they still had that fire in them. But he just couldn't find it. Neither could Jade. They didn't want that, they wanted things to go back to the way they were.

Jade remembered the day that she had to leave for that big audition in New York City. She was auditioning for a roll in a new movie that was coming out. She didn't want to leave Beck for the longest time, she just wanted to keep kissing him. But then she accidently missed her flight.
"Don't leave me…" Beck kept repeating himself. Over and over again.
Remember the airport dropping me off
We were kissing goodbye and we couldn't stop
I felt bad cause you missed your flight
But that meant we had one more night
They didn't say "I love you" to each other now. They didn't think that they had to say it anymore, Beck thought Jade already knew. Jade thought Beck already knew… they didn't know they had to keep telling each other.
"I love you."
The words haven't been uttered in ever so long…

Jade always thinks back to the times when Beck would do random things. Bring her flowers, coffee, compliment her out of nowhere. She used to make it look like she didn't care. But deep inside, every time that he did one of those things, she fell in love with Beck all over again.

Sometimes, Beck remembers back to the nights when Jade got into fights with her parents. He was the first one she would go to. And he always let her spend the night in his little RV and borrow his clothes to sleep in. they would always "somehow" be late for school.
