A/N: a little one-shot because I am totally addicted to SasoDei, even if im not up to the shippuuden yet T.T. So, since I don't TECHNICALLY know that characters, sorry about the OOCness of it.
Deidara ran through the cave, giggling whilst a bored looking Sasori followed after him. He personally didn't see why Deidara would want to go walking through some dark cave, but the red head was humouring him and decided to follow on his little adventure. Deidara stopped to wait for Sasori to catch up impatiently shifting his weight from foot to foot.
"I don't see the appeal of this Deidara." Sasori told him.
"Oh come one Danna, its fun!" Deidara grabbed his arms and started dragging him along. "Danna?" he asked continuing when he received a nod of approval from the ex-sand ninja. "What's the difference between a stalagmite and a stalactite? I never really got it."
Sasori rolled his eyes. "I don't know Deidara, I don't know anything about this cave business."
Deidara pouted and let go of him to fold his arms. "Well you are no help are you?"
Shaking his head Sasori watched as Deidara ran off again, for some reason amused by the dimly lit cave. Sasori looked up to the high ceiling where he could swear there were groups of bats hanging.
Slightly lost in his thought, Sasori had stopped walking, much to Deidara's annoyance. "DANNA!"
"DANNA! DANNA! Danna." Rang out throughout the cave. Sasori was snapped from his trance when Deidara ran over and buried his face in Sasori. "DANNA! WHATS THAT VOICE?" he yelled fearfully.
"DANNA! WHATS THAT VOICE? DANNA! WHATS THAT VOICE? Danna! What's that voice?" Deidara squealed and held a smirking Sasori tighter.
"It's a ghost Sasori! It's mocking me! Don't let it hurt me!" he squeaked, voice muffled by Sasori's cloak.
"That isn't a ghost Deidara." Sasori said calmly.
"It is so a ghost Danna! It's going to get us!" Deidara all but hollered, throwing himself off Sasori and pointing a finger at him accusingly.
"It is so a ghost Danna! It's going to get us!"
Squealing once more, Deidara again clutched at his red heads arm, his eyes flicking around nervously.
Sasori couldn't help but chuckle slightly at his innocent blonde. "It's not a ghost Deidara, its you."
Deidara shook his head, refusing to let go of him. "Nah its not, I only said those things once." He insisted.
Sasori sighed. "I know that Deidara." He said patiently.
"Then how can it be me?" he demanded.
Sasori sighed once more. 'It's an echo Deidara." When the blonde looked up at him in confusion he continued. "When you are in a big place like this cave for example and you say something really loudly, the sound bounces off the walls and comes back to you. Then, you hear it again, just like you did. It's called an echo."
Deidara carefully pondered this new information. "So there's no one here but us? No one is going to hurt us?" he asked slowly.
"That's right." Sasori said, smiling slightly when Deidara squealed in excitement.
"That's good, but you would protect me if a ghost did come, wouldn't you Danna?"
"Of course." He replied, deciding to humour him, rather than try to convince him that ghosts weren't actually real. Deidara smiled and grabbed onto Sasori's arm, leading him deeper into the cave they had been exploring.
"I love you Danna."
"I love you too Dei-chan."
A/N: I'm totally addicted to writing one shots and I cant get enough of these guys! Sorry if I got anything wrong. Like Sasori, I am no cave expert or anything and I don't know the character in the actual show, only from the fan fic, and I cant guarantee how accurate it is in depicting the characters. Oh well, review and let me know what you think!
