Niles was waiting outside of the chapel, and he couldn't believe this day had finally come. Tonight was the night he was going to marry Daphne Moon. Who would have thought this night would ever come? Not he. How did he ever win the heart of this long-legged goddess? He had to pinch himself literally to believe that his wildest dream was coming true. Every few minutes he kept looking over at Daphne and she would smile and ask what he was looking at. He didn't answer; he was too tongue- tied to. But somehow she knew what he was looking at. She always knew. Well, she knew only after he professed his love to her. It was hard for them to believe that he had kept his love so well hidden for so many years. For Niles it seemed like he had worn his heart on his sleeve; he couldn't help himself. He simply adored his soon to be wife. But for Daphne, it had been a long and well-traveled road; thankfully she had gotten there, and now it was a matter of minutes before they were to be married.

"What are you thinking now darling?" Daphne smiled as she took Niles' hand in hers.

"I'm thinking I'm simply the luckiest man in the world. I can't believe I'm sitting with you right here at this very moment," his voice began to crack and they both began to wonder if he would break down.

"Oh, Niles, I'm the lucky one. You would do anything to make me happy. You've proved that time and time again. You make me feel like the only girl in the world. Sometimes I wonder if I deserve how you treat me."

Niles looked at her seriously. "Daphne there's not enough time in our lifetime to show you how much I adore you. You have made my life complete. You don't know what my life was like until you walked into it. I literally have loved you since the first time I laid eyes on you. I waited for you and that was the best decision of my life. There is nothing I wouldn't do for you, nothing I wouldn't give you. Vacations, jewelry, anything. Just say it and it's yours."

"I already have what I want from you. In a minute you're giving me your ring and your name and that's all I could ever ask for."

This time neither one could deny the tears in either one's eyes, and they snuck a kiss. They could stay like that forever. This was a moment they would both remember. In a room full of couples ready to wed, the guy who presided over the ceremonies could usually predict the ones who would last. And there was no doubt in his mind that those two were one of the lucky ones. He was pretty jaded, but they were almost enough to make him believe in destiny and true love. He smiled as he called out their names. It was Vegas, and he knew that lady luck was truly on their sides tonight.
