There, in the middle of outer space, a spacecraft is fast approaching planet Earth, the new home of Kakarot, who had been sent there by his father.
In the ship is a man equipped with a green and blue battle suit and a scouter, with an angry look in his eye. His name is Bardock.
Kakarot won't exterminate that planet, and I will make sure of it! Bardock thought.
Bardock had realized the mistake of his race. His mission to kill the innocent inhabitants of planets was over, and his new mission had started: to reunite the surviving Saiyans and take down the evil Freiza.
Frieza was about to exterminate the planet in an hour, and Bardock knew it. He warned all of them: every Saiyan on the planet. It was no hope. He knew that he could fight Freiza and die doing it, but what would that achieve? Nothing. The smart move was to reunite the ones that he could in a mission to end Frieza's reign. Although he asked the other Saiyans to come with him, nobody would. So he set out to the deserted planet, where he trained and trained, becoming stronger, and almost blowing up the planet with his attacks.
Bardock knew Freiza would not die by one of his attacks. He warned all of the Saiyans to escape with him, to avoid the wrath of Freiza. None of them had listened, and all of them had probably died. After his training, he traveled to where Vegeta and Nappa were, asking and almost begging them to listen to him, but they simply didn't care. Ten years had passed since Kakarot had descended onto Earth, where he would go to meet his child.
His two sons, Raditz and Kakarot, along with the prince of Saiyans, Vegeta, and Nappa, would destroy Freiza's reign over the galaxy.
Bardock wondered if they would listen to him either...and if they didn't...then he would have to do it alone.
A memory flashed into his mind. The memory of him yelling as he blasted his Final Spirit Cannon into the heart of the deserted planet, almost destroying it. His ultimate attack, the one he had practiced. Could he have killed Freiza? Could he have saved his race?
Bardock shook his head. Worrying about the possibilities was futile. He knew what to do now. His only hope: Kakarot.
Bardock looked into outer space...
Goku was busy catching a fish. He jumped right into the water, grabbing a sea creature about five times his own size. He took it back to his abode, ready to eat it.
Goku: "You better taste good, big guy."
Goku grinned and was ready to dig in.
"Approaching planet Earth..bzz..." Bardock's spaceship said.
