Title: A Chew Toy
Author: Light Spinner
Disclaimer: Peter Pan was written by J.M. Barrie, not me. I own nothing, but the computer I'm typing this on.
--------------------
A thing you take for granted
Can become what you most wanted
Take for example a hand
With it you could rule the land
-
You would hate to have it taken away
But wouldn't notice until gone it lay
Because of a fight with a boy
Mine is now a crocodile's chew toy
-
Now I'm being followed by a croc
Luckily it goes tick-tock
It thought my hand tasted good when it ate it up
And now it is near desperate to have me for sup
-
A hook has replaced my old hand
And it is actually quite grand
If anyone mouths off it snaps in their face
And they quickly fall from grace
-
Though more menacing is a hook
Scaring some with just one look
Truly a hand to a hook I may prefer
But is not as beneficial on the Jolly Roger
