"Do you think I'm dumb for wanting to keep it?" Thirteen asked as she looked out over the balcony. House's gaze focused on Cuddy's retreating form as she walked hand in hand with Lucas.
"You have Huntington's which will make it hard for you to run after Foreman Jr. when he turns five..."
She turned to face him.
"I've never loved anything as much as I love this baby."
He met her gaze and leaned against his cane.
"Then have it... It's not rational but when love is concerned, rational usually isn't considered."
"I'm not sure how this will work...Me and Foreman are over but we have a baby..."
"Hey, first you have to figure out who will watch the pooper when you come back from maternity leave." He said as he once again stared down at the hospital below. Thirteen smiled softly.
"I don't know if I'll be..."
"You'll be back just like Cuddy was. You love this job and you'll love your kid, but let's be honest, crying and pooping gets boring. A daily escape from constant need will do you good." He said as he stood straight.
Thirteen followed House's gaze toward Cuddy's office and then she looked back at him.
"Thanks for the invitation...It was nice of you." She said as she padded his shoulder as she walked past him down the corridor. House stiffened slightly at the sensation and then turned to watch her walk into the elevators.
"Good luck." He whispered.
