Alex sat on the bleachers with his son on his lap watching his daughter stand on her tip toes and then reach for the floor to stretch. He chuckled at her seriousness, "Haley, what are you doing?"

She looked up at him with a dumbfounded look, "Bailey does this before he plays football."

Alex smiled, "He doesn't stand on his tip toes."

Haley shook her head, "No but the ballerinas do it that way. Boys can't do that. They play football."

Alex grinned at her confidence that she was right, "Boys can be ballerinas if they want to be."

Haley looked around the small room, "I don't see any, daddy. I think you're wrong." Before Alex could counter again Haley jumped in front of his face, "Where's mama?"

He shifted Landon to his other leg, "She'll be here as soon as she can after work, okay?"

At that moment the instructor started clapping to get the attention of the participants and Haley eagerly ran over to the group. The leader explained some of the rules then started playing music on a small CD player and led the kids in a fun warm up routine. Alex turned as he heard Jo walk up and sit beside them. She rubbed her nose with Landon's making him squeal before looking up at Alex and patting his thigh, "What'd I miss?"

"Nothing really. They just started."

"Any trouble getting her in that leotard correctly?"

Alex grinned, "Nah. All those nights of her demanding to wear it at home paid off. I still say we could have just slapped a bathing suit on her and called it a day."

Jo smiled brightly and rolled her eyes, "So says the man that gave her a professional looking braid."

Alex shrugged, "Needed to make sure her hair didn't fall down in the middle of her class."

Jo smiled appreciatively, "You better watch it or you'll end up doing hair for the entire company."

They both clapped as a song ended and another one began. Alex laughed, "She's taking this so seriously."

Jo smiled, "Did you expect any less from little miss perfectionist? She'll be mad as a hornet by the end when the other kids' attention wanes and they get off-task."

Alex sighed, "Do you think this was a good idea? She's still so young."

Jo rolled her eyes playfully, "She's four, Alex. She can't stay your baby forever. Besides she needs to explore her interests and expand her social skills."

Alex mumbled, "You sound like the damn brochure."

Jo rubbed his thigh and bumped his shoulder, "But just look at that face."

Alex looked back to see Haley sporting a huge smile as she worked hard to imitate the teacher while adding her own extra moves at times, "Where does she get that from?"

Jo leaned against him, "Being so happy?" At Alex's nod, Jo smiled softly, "Both of us. We have kicked ass at making sure she's happy. Kicked ass."

Alex looked down to watch Jo making faces at Landon as the baby grinned and tried to put his fingers in her mouth before looking back at Haley laughing as she spun in place and smiled, "Yeah. Yeah we have."
