Summary: What happens after they save all their friends?
A/N: Okay. So... we watched The Island in school and we had to write a report on it, and I was like, the only one in my class to totally fall in love with the movie. Jordan and Lincoln are so freakin' adorable. So yes. It's my first Island fanfic. I noticed they didn't really have any to begin with, so... here's just a little something I thought of. Nothing special, really.
Jordan and Lincoln safely made it back to Tom's house, this time, not having to dodge traffic and sneak behind an eighteen wheeler just to stay alive. They had accomplished their goal and to them, it was time that they relaxed. Their job was done. They're friends were freed; living a new life and making their own memories.
As they walked through the rather large house, they passed the stairs where they had first kissed. Where she could tell he wasn't lieing with his eyes. She silently sat on the last step and stared out of the window. He knew something was bothering her, so he took a seat next to her and tucked her hair behind her ear.
"Do you remember those people? In the window?"
"Yeah..." He slipped an arm around her waist and pulled her closer.
"They looked... they were so close. It's like they were meant to be or something."
"That's because they love each other."
"But how do you know when you love something," she asked as she slightly turned her head to look at him.
"I guess you just have to feel it." By now, she was fully in his arms. Her head rested on his shoulder as he pulled her onto his lap.
"I don't know what to feel. If I'm supposed to be happy that we're alive, or... or sad because we've missed out on so much, or maybe because that people are dead because of-"
"Shhh. Be happy- that we're here; together."
"I am, I am." She sniffed and gently pushed back against his chest, trying to get a look at his face. He reached up and with a soft caress of his hand, wiped away the tears that were flowing down her cheek."
"Don't cry." She pressed her lips to his and shifted in his lap. When they broke apart, she nuzzled her face into his neck and sighed. "On the stairs... again?"
"Take us to the bedroom."
"But we have-"
"Please?" He lifted her up in his arms and climbed up the rest of the stairs. She pressed her lips against his neck, making him walk faster than he had intended to. Her back came in contact with the bedroom door. She wrapped her arms around his neck and tightened the grip around his waist. "Open the door." With his lips still on hers, he managed to find the door handle and swing it open.
She slid down his body and grabbed his hands. They both stumbled back onto the bed, rolling around before they finally settled with her on top and him pinned to the matress. She sat up on his lap and took deep breaths.
"That little boy... that we talked to at the information center..." She tugged at his shirt. "I want one. One that looks like you and me." He sat up and removed his shirt for her. He laid back down and toyed with the ends of her shirt. "But I want a girl. I want both, actually. Can we do that?"
"We can do whatever you want."
"Good." She leaned down and captured his lips again. "Promise me." They both sighed.
"I promise." She leaned back, out of breath, and stared down at him. A smile formed on her lips. "Your eyes aren't lieing."
A/N: Those two were meant to be. LOL. Yay!! First Island FanFic... complete:)
