Note: Yuru Yuri is an anime that was done by the studios Doga Kobo and TYO Animations and is based on a manga by Namori.
Ayano Sugiura had recently turned twenty. She was hardly honest or mature when it came to her feelings back in middle school, but she had changed a lot. She was dating her former rival, Toshino Kyoko, and got a job as an organizer at a business company.
Ayano was doing some organizing in her office, but a mysterious man in the shadows signaled for her to come to his office. Ayano knew it was Mr. Priceless, the intimidating boss of the company.
Ayano and her boss went into the office. Ayano nervously sat down and hoped that her boss wasn't going to give her a pay cut. She still looked nervous while saying, "Hi Mr. Priceless. How can I help you?"
Mr. Priceless wore a white business suit and would often switch from looking stern to looking happy. He said, "You've done a very good job as this company's organizer."
Ayano lightly smiled and replied, "Thank you sir. It's always an honor and a treat to work here."
Mr. Priceless responded, "Spare me the false compliments."
Ayano said, "I'm serious sir. Organization is a hobby of mine."
Mr. Priceless whispered, "I can't believe that I've found somebody that actually likes doing that boring crap."
Ayano asked, "Is there anything that I can help you with sir?"
Mr. Priceless said, "There might be. I'm moving on to another company. It's in America so it's hundreds of miles away."
Ayano nervously asked, "Does this mean that I'm going to lose my job?"
Mr. Priceless answered, "Don't worry. You're too boring to ever be fired." He paused and said, "I mean you're too hard working. I'm sure that whoever takes over will let you keep a job. You probably won't get as much money from now on, but that's life."
Ayano shook Mr. Priceless's hand and said, "It was an honor to work for you. May I know the reason you're moving to another company?"
Mr. Priceless replied, "This country doesn't have enough eggs."
Ayano said, "If you say so sir."
Mr. Priceless chuckled and said, "I was referring to money when I said eggs."
Ayano and Kyoko met up at a fast food restaurant after work. Kyoko noticed that Ayano was deep in thought so she asked, "What's up?"
Ayano answered, "I'm sorry that I haven't paying much attention to you. I have a lot of mind."
Kyoko smiled and said, "That's for sure. You were staring at the wall for like fifteen minutes. It seemed like you had a mountain of thoughts to deal with."
Ayano sighed and said, "My boss is moving on to a new company."
Kyoko replied, "Goor for him."
Ayano said, "That means that he's going to be replaced with a new boss who isn't properly trained and won't make the company much money." She sighed and said, "I was growing up in life and in the business thing. However, this new change is the opposite of progress."
Kyoko held Ayano's hand and replied, "Forget about the. You've made a lot of progress. I'm really proud of you."
Ayano smiled at Kyoko. She said, "Maybe you're right. My work life may not be making the progress that I want, but my happiness keeps rising thanks to you."
Kyoko replied, "Wow, you love me."
Ayano said, "No offense Kyoko, but that is the obvious main reason why I'm dating you."
Kyoko replied, "Fair enough."
Ayano blushed and asked, "Do you love me?"
Kyoko answered, "That is the obvious main reason why I'm so happy." Ayano and Kyoko kissed each other.
An angry customer said, "This is a respectable restaurant, not a place for repulsive flirting."
Kyoko replied, "This is a fast food place, not an overly serious meeting about boring crap."
The customer responded, "Happiness is disgusting."
Ayano asked, "What's wrong with him?"
Kyoko answered, "Some people just have a lot of ignorance and flaws, but not you. You're eloquent."
Ayano replied, "Thank you Kyoko. My heart couldn't ask for a better treat than the comfort that you bring to my heart." Ayano and Kyoko smiled at each other. They didn't say that much to each other for the next few minutes, but they managed to give each other smiles and blushes.
Ayano and Kyoko walked out of the fast food place. Kyoko said, "I wish that this date wasn't ending right now."
Ayano replied, "Don't worry. We'll have plenty of other dates in the future."
Kyoko smiled and said, "I look forward to every single one of them."
Ayano replied, "Me too." She kissed Kyoko and started heading home.
The next day Ayano went to her office and started doing her usual work, but Mr. Priceless had her come to his office again. Ayano asked, "What's going on?"
Mr. Priceless answered, "I'm afraid that things have changed again."
Ayano asked, "What do you mean?"
Mr. Priceless replied, "I realized that losing the best organizer that I ever had would be a mistake. I want you to work at my new company. You'll have to move to a different country, but that's hardly anything worth having an opinion on."
Ayano nervously asked, "Would it really be a different country?"
Mr. Priceless said, "It sure would be." He pointed a carton on the filing cabinet and said, "Hand that to me."
Ayano replied, "Okay." The carton was shaped like an egg carton, but it had money inside of it.
Mr. Priceless opened the carton and said, "You could start getting a carton's worth of money instead of some simple paychecks. You'll have to excuse my judgemental nature, but you'll be a fool if you turn down this offer."
Ayano asked, "Can I have some time to think about my decision?"
Mr. Priceless replied, "One week is the best I can offer you."
A few hours later Ayano drove to Kyoko's house. She walked up to the door and knocked on it. Kyoko opened it and kissed Ayano. Ayano said, "Your kindness is always appreciated, but I need to talk to you about something that's important and serious."
Kyoko whined, "I hate serious stuff." Ayano glared at Kyoko. Kyoko nervously laughed and said, "I'm sorry honey. Lets talk."
Ayano and Kyoko sat down on the couch. Ayano said, "My boss made a new offer today about me becoming the organizer at the new company."
Kyoko patted Ayano on the back and replied, "That's great news. Go ahead and take the offer. I'm sure that you'll make tons of money."
Ayano replied, "I'd have to move to another country to take the job."
Kyoko quickly changed her mind and said, "Don't take the offer. I need you forever."
Ayano replied, "I wouldn't break up with you if I moved away."
Kyoko responded, "I wouldn't get to see you if I moved away. My heart would feel like a boulder fell on to it and crushed it in half."
Ayano asked, "Do I really mean that much to you?"
Kyoko nervously laughed and said, "I have a problem when it comes to being overdramatic. You should go ahead with the choice that you feel is right."
Ayano replied, "Thank you Kyoko. I love you."
Kyoko responded, "I love you too." Ayano went home and started thinking about what decision she should make.
A few days later Ayano went into Mr. Priceless's office. Mr. Priceless had a confident smile on his face while saying, "I'm sure that you've come here to tell me about your excitement about being my new company's organizer."
Ayano replied, "Not exactly."
Mr. Priceless raised his eyebrows and asked, "What are you talking about?"
Ayano answered, "Certain things about the city I live in are too important to give up on."
Mr. Priceless replied, "Come on. You've matured so much since you started working here. Why would you throw away my glamorous offer? If you worked for me, you'd get enough money to run your own egg company."
Ayano responded, "I have no interest in that."
Mr. Priceless said, "The egg thing was a metaphor. What could be more important than the best job offer that you've ever gotten?"
Ayano blushed and replied, "Love."
Mr. Priceless responded, "The cartons of cash that I'm going to be getting are the most priceless type of love there is. However, lovey dovey people, like yourself, are too hard to talk to. Good luck with your future life."
Ayano smiled and replied, "You too." They shook hands.
Ayano went to Kyoko's house. She went inside and handed Kyoko a bouquet of roses. Kyoko asked, "What's going on?"
Ayano answered, "I turned down Mr. Priceless' offer. I'm going to stay as the organizer of the building that I already work at."
Kyoko asked, "Did you turn down that offer fr me?"
Ayano answered, "I did."
Kyoko nervously replied, "I'm sorry Ayano. I guilted you into turning down the ultimate job offer."
Ayano replied, "That's not true, because being your girlfriend is the best job that I've ever had."
Kyoko smiled and said, "Thank you Ayano. I couldn't be more thankful to have a better job than being the love of your life." Ayano and Kyoko hugged each other while having tears of happiness coming down their eyes. They planned on keeping the job of making each other happy forever.
