I really really want to write a Chouji fic, but I can't find a sutible girl to pair him up with. . till then... all I can do is little one shots with faceless love interests.

I always thought my best friend would fall for a civilian. He is too kind and gentle hearted for any kunoichi to be able to ever understand. When we were eight we played a game of tag at the playground. One of the boys tagged another just a little too hard. The younger boy fell to the ground, scrapping his knee. While the rest of us used this opportunity to distance ourselves from the boy who was "it" Chouji ran back to help him up. The other boys made fun of him for helping the kid. One boy even said that in a life or death situation Chouji would have been killed. But Chouji isn't dumb. He would never put his friends at risk. Put himself at risk is a different story; however, I have found that his judgement was often flawless.

Chouji doesn't like fake. He can't stand deception. He cringes at lies and is brutally truthful at times. But he is never unkind. He is also true to himself. It was a hard journey but he learned that if one can't accept him as he is and for who he is, then they aren't worth his time. Ino learned that lesson the hard way. Luckily for her, Chouji is also forgiving.

If I had to describe Chouji in one word I would have to say that Chouji is Chouji. What you see is what you get. He excels and stands out in everything he does but is quickly forgotten about. He saves they day and others take the credit. But he never complains. He is unique yet common. He is flawed yet perfect. He is a ninja, yet his heart is that of an angel.

Chouji is Chouji and nothing will ever change that. I am proud to be standing here today as his best man at this small wedding.

The bride is simple yet elegant. Who would have thought that Chouji would have been swept away by a quiet girl from the bakery shop down the street? But she has everything Chouji ever held dear. She is kind, loving, and has an honest smile. She loves him for being him. Of course she worries when he must go out on missions. But she trusts him and he knows that when he returns she will be there for him; Loving him regardless.

Out of all the ninja's in Konoha I believe Chouji is the luckiest. He doesn't have a Hollywood romance to tell like say Sakura and Sasuske or Neji and Hinata, but that doesn't matter cause in the end all that matters is Chouji and the love of his life and that together they are happy. Simple.

Oh, and that she can cook.
