One-shot. Rory/Jess Fluff.
'Why do you want to be with me?' Rory asked. Standing a little way from Jess on the bridge. Her arms folded across her chest. She'd just broken up with Dean at the dance marathon. Came straight here and Jess had followed. He didn't reply to her question so she continued. 'You could have almost any girl in that school. Yet here you are chasing after me. Plain, boring, bookish Rory Gilmore. Why?'
'I tell you what. Let's play 10 things I love about you. We'll take it in turns to tell each other 10 reasons why we love each other.' Jess suggested taking a step towards her. Rory's breath caught in her throat. Had he actually just said he loved her? She didn't want to seem like he had an affect of her so she shrugged her shoulders.
'Who says I have 10 reasons? Or any for that matter.' Rory said. Jess just laughed. She was a terrible liar.
'I'll start shall I?' He asked. Rory nodded, curiosity about what he had to say getting the best of her.
'1, I love you're nervous smile.' Jess said watching her carefully. A small smile gracing her face. 'Your turn.'
'1, I love your hair.' Rory replied.
'2, I love the way you look when your concentrating on your homework.' Jess said taking a small step towards her.
'2, I love your smirk.' Rory replied. As if to test it he smirked at her. She blushed. 'It's your turn.'
'3, I love your eyes. I get lost in them every time I see you looking at me.' Jess said.
'3, I love that you've always got a book with you.' Rory said simply.
'4, I love that you make pro/con lists.' Jess smiled.
'4, I love your mind.' Rory said. This time it was her that took a small step closer. He smiled at this action.
'5, I love that you eat a lot.' Jess said staying still. He'd let Rory take the lead.
'5, I love that you're able to talk to me.' Rory said taking another step towards him.
'6, I love that you read as much as I do.' Jess looked into her eyes.
'6, I love the way you give me butterflies. Even when our hands just brush against each others when I'm paying a bill.' Rory smiled. Another small step.
'7, I love the way you and your mom have such a good relationship.' Jess said surprising her slightly.
'7, I love your confidence.' Rory said taking another little step. They were almost in reach of each other.
'8, I love that you kissed me at Sookie's wedding.' Jess said. This time he moved.
'8, I love that you listen to great music.' Rory said.
'9, I love your shyness.' Jess said taking another small step. Closing the gap between them. He took her in his arms.
'9, I love the way your arms fit around me perfectly.' Rory said leaning against him.
'10, I love that I could go on for a million years about all the things I love about you.' Jess said kissing her lightly. She smiled up at him, her blue eyes shining with tears.
'10, I love everything about you.' Rory said kissing him again.
