Disclaimer: For those of you who don't know me, I do disclaimers for every single one of my stories/chapters. Oh yes! But this will be my first for Alice! I hope it turns out epic. Now, let's see...No, I don't own Alice. Yes! I got it!
Resist
The Hatter was, in fact, part of the resistance. But he never really thought about what the word meant until he met Alice.
He didn't like the Red Queen, nor her casino. He wanted her gone, just like the rest of them. But then Alice came along in her dripping wet blue dress, and Hatter had to resist. Resist starting too long at her.
Resist.
Then, he had to go and be stupid and go on this 'quest' with her. This adventurewith her. So hard. So hard if was for him. All she did was talk about Jack and how she trusted Jack but not him. The one who's saved her more times than she can count! He had to resist the urge to strangle her pretty little head.
Resist.
And then he got to meet Jack! Oh, Hatter showed some great strength there. He had to resist the craving to punch him right in his stupid, big nosed face.
Resist!
And then Alice was leaving him, and so hard it was for him not to cry.
Resist...
Everything he did, he did for Alice. Everything he resisted, he did so for Alice.
For Alice.
You remember when she hugged him? Oh, that glorious hug! He had to stop himself from holding on forever.
Resist.
When Alice began to cry and her father's dead body, Hatter had to remind himself over and over that he would rather see a sad Alice than a dead one, and that holding her at that moment would do no good.
Resist.
And then. And then it was time for her to leave. And Hatter had to chant to himself continuously, "Your home is here; her's is there. Your home is here; her's is there. Your home is..." And she started to leave, and Hatter thought about the resistance.
And how there was nothing left to be resisted. The Hatter had to stop himself from trampling all the Oyster's on his way through the looking glass. Oh his way home to Alice.
Resist.
