Dear Professor Severus Snape,
As you may know, my son, Draco, is entering Hogwarts this next year. I hope that he will feel at home there. His other teachers may be prejudiced against him, but I know that there is at least one classroom where he feels welcome.
I have heard of another boy you know of is also entering Hogwarts. By the name of Harry Potter. You knew his father. It will be so interesting this year. I suppose Harry will be just like his father, and hope he is treated accordingly.
Remember, Draco needs someone there.

Snape groaned and set down the letter. He had been teaching at Hogwarts for five years. Every summer he got a letter from Lucius, but this was the worst yet. Too much favoritism might keep him from getting the Defense Against the Dark Arts job. And once he was there, he had an excuse to research more forbidden books. The Lucius had to get off his back. But till then, he had no choice. Draco Malfoy would do wonderful in Potions, no matter what. And Harry Potter wouldn't.
