Reggie sighed as he looked into her eyes.
"What?" Josie frowned slightly at his intense look. "Seriously Reggie Mantle what the hell."
A smile played on Reggie's lips. "I love you." He simply said.
Josie soften. "You know I love you also you huge dork." She leaned against the head board of their bed. She reached over and took his hand into hers. "Seriously what's in that mind of yours?" She rested her head on his shoulder.
"I love you the more in that I believe you had liked me for my own sake and for nothing else." Reggie spoke in a soft wonderment tone.
Lifting her head she stared into her husband's slightly confused but trusting eyes. "Reggie Mantle you are a very human being. You were growing in your mother's womb. You were born. You learned how to walk and talk. You learned how to make friends outside of your family. You learned how to use your sense of humor. You learned how to deal with your bad moods. You learn how to make friends. You learn how to make enemies. You learn how to live your life." Josie's right hand rose to gently caressed his right cheekbone. "How can I a fellow human being not love my fellow human being?" She leaned in and met his lips. She pulled away. "That's why you love me for me and for no other reason."
Reggie silently nodded as his wife's words finally sunk into his soul.
