Hello, everyone! This is the promised sequel of my "Bearers of the Millennium Earrings" fanfic. Each "Duel Monsters" arc will be written separately, just to let you know.
The series will be mostly told by either Aurora or Joakim's point of view, or by the two Ancient Egypt spirits; Amaura and Mako. Sometimes, the other characters will have their own moments in the storytelling.
The whole series will be based on the dub version, but I will squeeze in some Japanese parts that were cut out.
I'll cut the Duels out of the fanfic most of the time, but I'll still add some parts of them here and there. Now, let's enjoy the Duelist Kingdom arc!
The chapter begins in Aurora's point of view.
Disclaimer: I do not own any Yu-Gi-Oh characters! I only own my OCs!
Chapter 1: The Heart of the Cards
Yugi, Joakim, our friends and I were now in the second year of high school. Everyone got happy we ended up in the same class again after the spring break. A lot of things happened during our first year. There were some good and sad moments, but they were all worth it to stay together. One of the things that brought us closer now was the Duel Monsters card game.
The only one who was missing in the group was Nosaka Miho. Her family had moved to the United States due to a job transfer, so Miho had no other choice but to go with her parents. Tristan ended up with a broken heart, but he told Miho to wait for him. That had earned him a love confession from Miho and a kiss on his cheek from his crush.
My brother and I had been busy with our career. We had become a popular duo in Domino City, but we still preferred our high school life. We wanted to fully work on the singing after we graduate, so we wanted to focus on our loyal friends during high school.
Yugi was the one in the group who was like a master in Duel Monsters. He defeated everyone who challenged him. Heck, sometimes even me and Joakim, and we used to be champions back in Canada. Another thing that we all noticed was how much Yugi had grown during the first year. Sure, he was still a bit short, but he was finally around 160 cm and he was proud of it to finally feel more like a teenager instead of an elementary child.
Today, Yugi and Joey had a Duel during lunch break in the classroom. The rest of us had gathered around to watch. Duel Monsters had slowly become popular over the last year in Japan, so there were more Duelists in town now. Rumors were going around that the KaibaCorp was coming up with new devices and equipment for the Duels. I was very curious what those devices were.
Speaking of KaibaCorp, the chief executive officer of that company happened to be one of our classmates; Seto Kaiba. He was the same age as me and the others, but was considered a prodigy, so many wondered why he even attended high school. And, as many snobbish teenagers, Seto Kaiba preferred to be alone and had quite an attitude toward others. He was handsome and rich, and that caused him to have many fangirls, which he ignored.
"Hey, Joey. Earth to Joey! Hey, are you in there? It's your turn!" Yugi called as we waited for Joey to make a move.
Joey eyed his cards and seemed to have a hard time to decide which card he should use. Tristan decided to butt in and put Joey in a headlock.
"Aw, isn't he cute when he's thinking?" the brunet laughed.
Joey rolled his eyes and showed Tristan his cards he had in the hand. "Hey, Tristan! Yugi's teachin' me how to play Duel Monsters."
"Because you forgot the rules when we played it months ago", Joakim commented.
"That was one time, Kim", I scolded my brother lightly. "Not everyone remember the rules after their first game. But it's always nice to refresh your memories."
"They've been at it for hours", Anzu giggled as Tristan moved back. "Joey's starting to get the hang of the game, but Yugi and you two are like experts, Aura, Kim."
"Because we used to be champions in Canada", my brother and I said simultaneously.
Ryo chuckled, "I can't help smiling whenever you two talk like that."
Joey grinned as he picked up a card from his hand. "Okay, Yugi. It's time to Duel! I summon Kagemusha of the Blue Flame in attack mode!" He slammed the card on the game mat he and Yugi were playing on.
Kagemusha of the Blue Flame, Level 2: ATK 800
"Pretty good move, huh, Yugi?!" Joey smirked, thinking he was winning.
"Yup!" Yugi nodded before picking up a card from his hand. "Pretty good move, but not good enough! I summon Blackland Fire Dragon in attack mode!"
Blackland Fire Dragon, Level 3: ATK 1500
Joey flinched at the sight of the card and dropped the cards he had in his hand in shock when he realized he got defeated. "What?! Thanks a lot!" he muttered sarcastically. "A card that powerful totally wipes me out!"
"There are even more powerful cards than Blackland Fire Dragon…", Joakim mumbled. "Don't act so shocked."
"Whoa, you stink at this game, Joey", Tristan snickered.
"You did fine, Joey", Yugi tried comforting the blonde boy. "I just have better cards since I get them from Grandpa."
"Because your grandpa owns a game shop", Joakim grinned before getting serious. "Although I can't help but say I noticed something weird."
"Me too", I nodded. "Joey, can I see you Deck for a minute?"
"Sure!" Joey nodded as he gathered his cards and gave the Deck to me.
I looked through the Deck and rolled my eyes when my suspicion got confirmed. "Joey, you only have Monster cards in your Deck. No wonder it went so bad for you."
"Seriously?" Joakim said as he looked over my shoulder. "What the?! Are you kidding me?! No Spell or Trap cards?"
"Nah, I don't need them", Joey snorted. "They're just in the way."
"Joey, Spell and Trap cards are essential in a Deck", I told him as I returned his Deck. "They can help you out in a pinch and cause more damage when played in a perfect combo."
"You need to upgrade your Deck, man", Joakim shook his head.
Joey grunted before sighing. "'Kay, you win. I'll try to add some of those cards later."
"How about we ask Grandpa for his help?" Yugi suggested. "And, maybe, I can even get him to show this super rare card he's got."
"He's got a rare card?" I questioned.
"Now I'm curious", Joakim confessed.

Once school was over, we hurried to Yugi's home and Solomon was available to help Joey with his Deck.
"This is not good at all", Solomon shook his head after he looked through the Joey's Deck. "You can't always rely on your Monsters when it comes to a Duel."
"That's what I've been told", Joey rubbed the back of his head. "Hey, you still have some booster packs? I'd like to buy some to get better and stronger cards."
Solomon chuckled heartedly. "Of course, young man. In fact…" He picked up several booster packs from underneath the desk. "You can have them for free, all of you."
"Really?" Anzu's eyes widened.
"Consider it a present for being in your second year in high school", Solomon smiled warmly. "Two packs for each of you, including you, Yugi."
"Wow, man! Thanks!" Joey grinned as he grabbed two random booster packs.
The rest of us grabbed two packs each and opened them. Joakim and I got some good and new cards that maybe I could use to upgrade my own Deck.
"Oh, I almost forgot!" Yugi gasped. "Gramps, could you show my friends your awesome super rare card?"
"Rare card? My special card?" Solomon asked to be sure he heard it right before he pondered deeply about it.
"Please please!" Yugi prayed.
"Pretty please!" Joey joined in by bowing deeply.
Solomon looked at the duo before chuckling. "How can I refuse?" He turned to the shelf behind him and picked a small brown box that looked a bit worn. "You kids are in for a treat. I don't take this card out too often." He put it down on the desk. "Ready? Here it is."
The old man opened the box and picked up a card out of it. My breath got stuck in my throat when I saw the artwork of the card. It was a dragon Duel Monster with white and light blue scales and deep blue eyes. It greatly reminded me of my and Joakim's Egyptian cousin who had an extremely similar card.
"The Blue-Eyes White Dragon", Solomon told us the card's name. "So rare, so powerful I'd never let it leave my hands."
The others gaped at the card as well, but Tristan picked the card as if it was nothing special. "Doesn't look all that special to me", he commented.
Solomon panicked and quickly took his card back. "Back off! This card is priceless! There are only four of them in the world!"
"Speaking of priceless, I'm ready to trade!" Joey grinned mischievously.
"Not for this card!" Solomon growled while protecting the card as if it was his child.
"Nah, I didn't mean that card", Joey tried to talk his way out of it. "I meant, show me some other cool cards to get me started."
"Maybe we can trade some of our cards with you tomorrow, Joey", I suggested.
"Yeah, we'll bring part of our collection to school tomorrow and we'll see if we can make fair trades", Joakim added.
"I'm in!" Joey cheered.
My eyes returned to the card in Solomon's hand. The dragon looked awfully familiar, and it wasn't just because it looked like one of the cards my Egyptian cousin had.
"Those are my feelings", Amaura spoke in my head. "I believe I might have seen this dragon in my past, but I don't remember the details."
"Is everything okay, Aura?" Ryo spoke up.
I snapped out of it and turned to the others, seeing they looked concerned. "I'm fine. It's just…" I looked at the Blue-Eyes White Dragon card. "…That card looks similar to our cousin's best card."
"Your cousin? You mean Yamato?" Anzu asked.
"No, our Egyptian cousin", I shook my head.
"You've got a cousin in Egypt?" Yugi questioned.
"Yep, didn't we mention our dad's family lives there?" Joakim said.
"If you did, that was a long time ago", Tristan replied.
"You're saying your cousin could have one of the four Blue-Eyes White Dragon cards?" Solomon asked curiously.
"Not exactly the same card, but a card that looks like this dragon", I replied. "I think the other dragon's name is-"
The door to the game shop opened with the bell ringing, making us turn around to see who was. I got surprised when I saw it was Seto Kaiba who had come to the game shop. My right eyebrow raised a bit when I saw a silver briefcase in his left hand.
"Hello, can I help you?" Solomon asked politely.
"If you can't, it certainly wouldn't surprise me", Kaiba said with a cold voice.
"Seto Kaiba?" Yugi said in slight disbelief.
"Doesn't he have a big fancy company to run? What's he doing down here?" Tristan wondered.
"Not that it's any of your business, but I came to see the card", Kaiba retorted cryptically.
"Hey, are you in with Duel Monsters too?" Joey asked nicely. "This is perfect! Maybe we could all Duel together sometime."
"Me? Duel you?" Kaiba snorted as if it was a joke as he approached us. "I would have more of a challenge playing solitaire."
"What?" Joey mumbled.
"I am the number one ranked Duelist in the country and the favorite to win the Duel Monsters Championship", Kaiba snorted in amusement. "You wouldn't last two minutes in a Duel against me."
"Hoo, I'm shakin'!" Joey growled irritably. "Maybe you'd like to settle this with fists instead of cards!"
Yugi rushed in to stop Joey before he could start a fight. "Whoa, take it easy, Joey!"
"But, Yugi…", Joey growled. "Kaiba's askin' for it!"
"Now, does this shop have any worthwhile cards or not?" Kaiba asked, as if the argument hadn't happened.
I noticed his eyes seemed to suddenly catch the glance for something. I followed his line of sight and turned to the desk to see Solomon had put back the Blue-Eyes White Dragon card in the box that was open.
Kaiba pushed himself past us as his eyes were literally glued at the Monster card. "Can it be?! The Blue-Eyes White Dragon in a dump like this?!"
I felt a cold run down my spine all of the sudden. Thanks to my deep bond with Amaura, and Joakim with Mako, my brother and I had gained some abilities through our Millennium Earrings. One of the abilities were we could see dark auras of people that had one of the seven deadly sins. I could sense Kaiba had a greedy aura, but there was something else behind it; a very dark aura that wasn't connected to the seven sins.
"Well, enough window-shopping", Solomon declared as he closed the box and pulled it back before Kaiba could grab it. "Is there anything else I can help you with?"
I heard a low growl coming from Seto before he collected himself and slammed his briefcase rudely on the desk, almost breaking the glass monitor. We flinched back in surprise before Kaiba opened the briefcase and turned it around to show its content to Solomon.
"Listen to me, old man! Give me your Blue-Eyes White Dragon card and I'll trade you all of these!" Kaiba sounded now very demanding.
I looked from the side and saw the briefcase was full of rare Duel Monsters cards; Monster, Spell, Trap and even a few Fusion cards. I recognized a few of them from my and Joakim's collection at home. Our friends gaped at the sight of the cards as well.
"Nice", Solomon commented. "But no thanks."
"What?!" all of us, except Kaiba and Tristan, exclaimed in disbelief at the rejection of this rare collection.
"Fine! If you won't trade, maybe you'll sell it!" Kaiba growled as he seemed to cold sweat now. "Name your price. I can pay anything you ask!"
"I'm sure you could, but this card is worth more to me than you could ever offer", Solomon shook his head. "Not because of its power, not because it's so rare, but because of what it means to me. This card was given to me by a dear friend, and so I treasure this card as I do that friend."
I could tell in his voice the card meant so much to him because of the memories behind it. I felt the same with some of my favorite cards and my piece of the Millennium Earrings. They were my and Joakim's last gifts from our father before he disappeared three years ago.
"So parting with it is completely out of the question", Solomon said firmly.
"Seto Kaiba's greed is raising", Amaura warned. "Be prepared; he might explode."
I laughed inwardly at Amaura's warning, but I took it seriously and stood ready if I needed to hold back Kaiba. I could see Joakim was in the same state, ready to jump in if needed.
"You'd feel the same even if it were a common card, right, Grandpa?" Yugi asked.
"Exactly", Solomon nodded. "You see, this precious card has bonded with my heart-"
"Fine!" Kaiba hissed harshly as he closed the briefcase with a bang. "I've heard enough of your nonsense! Senile little fool!"
With that said, Kaiba left the game shop with the briefcase and got into the limousine that was waiting for him. Yugi, Joey, Joakim and I looked through the open door and watched the limo leave, making sure things had calmed down now.
But something told me this wasn't the last time we were going to see Seto Kaiba outside of school.

In the evening, before it was time for me and Joakim to go to bed, we went through some of our albums of Duel Monsters cards that had decent cards and those we could easily part from, if Joey and the others wanted to trade at school tomorrow. Joakim and I sat on the floor in my bedroom as we looked through the albums. Amaura and Mako's spirits had joined us and sat next to us.
"Kim", I suddenly spoke up.
"Yeah?" my brother replied.
"Did you sense Kaiba's dark aura when he came to the game shop today?"
"I sure did. It didn't feel right at all."
"His mind is corrupted", Mako spoke up. "He showed clear signs of greed, but there's something else behind it."
"Could it have something to do that he's from a rich family?" Joakim questioned.
"I'm not sure about that", I shook my head. "Our paternal grandparents and our other Egyptian relatives are rich as well, but I don't think they have the same dark aura. They love each other and they love us."
"Maybe that's the key word", Amaura said. "Love. Seto Kaiba's heart seems to be close and does not accept anyone else inside it. As if someone has locked his heart and threw away the key. And when the key got lost, his mind got corrupted by this evil force."
Joakim and I looked at each other while thinking deeply about what Amaura just said. It was true Kaiba seemed to be a lone wolf, but that wasn't enough evidence if he really was cold-hearted.
I let out a sigh as I rubbed my forehead. "I just hope nothing terrible will happen tomorrow."
"Me too", Joakim nodded.
XXXXXXXXXX
Joakim and I were able to trade some cards with Joey and also helped him to start shaping his Deck a bit, but it still wasn't good enough to Duel with. We were currently on our way to Yugi's house to see if Solomon had some new cards that Joey would buy this time. While we headed to the game shop, I had a quick repetition with Joey.
"Okay, so the amount of cards you can have is your Deck is…", I began.
"Forty up to sixty cards", Joey replied.
"And the best way to balance the Deck is to have…"
"Around forty cards."
"And the amount of each type of cards should be around…"
"Twenty Monster, ten Spell and ten Trap cards."
"Good! Make sure you'll remember that whenever you rebuild your Deck", I nodded.
"I'll do my best once I get even better cards!" Joey grinned.
"I'm not sure if you can get better cards now when you were able to trade some of the twins' cards", Tristan commented, making the others laugh briefly.
We entered the game shop, but found it empty. Even when Yugi called for Solomon, the old man didn't show up.
"Maybe he went out", Anzu suggested.
"Maybe, but why would he leave the door unlocked?" Joey pointed out.
It was then the home phone started ringing. Yugi hurried over to answer it as the rest of us looked around to see if something had happened. Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary.
"Hello, Kame Game Shop", Yugi said with a business voice that I hadn't heard before.
Yugi's cheerful smile switched immediately to fear and worry when he heard the voice in the phone. We couldn't hear who it was, but Yugi had exclaimed Kaiba's name.
"Kaiba! What have you done, Kaiba?!" Yugi cried as the phone beeped when the call ended.
"Is Kaiba behind of this?!" Joey asked.
Yugi nodded as he put the phone back. "He's got Grandpa and he said he's not okay! We need to hurry to the KaibaCorp!"
XXXXXXXXXX
We hurried to the KaibaCorp as fast as we could by running. We were all worried what Seto had done to Solomon. Something told me the reason behind this was the old man's Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
We reached the building and ran past the receptionist who tried stopping us for a second. We pushed ourselves into an elevator and went to the top floor. None of us said anything as the tension in the air grew for each second.
Once we made it to the top floor and the elevator door opened, we were greeted by the sight of Solomon lying face down on the ground and he didn't look good at all.
"Grandpa!" Yugi cried as he rushed immediately to Solomon. "Grandpa, are you okay?"
Joakim and I hurried to Solomon to check his condition. Thanks to our mother being a nurse, we had some knowledge about medical treatment and analyze certain conditions.
I checked Solomon's pulse and it was too fast for his age. "I think he's suffering from a heart attack." I turned to our friends who had stepped out of the elevator. "One of you, call 119!" I pulled out my cell phone from the chest pocket of my school blazer and threw it to Ryo. He caught it and dialed 119 immediately.
"Yugi…", Solomon grunted as he tried sitting up while cold sweating. "I failed… I wanted to teach that boy Kaiba a lesson about the heart of the cards, but I lost…"
"Take it easy", Joakim told Solomon as he gently rubbed the old man's back.
"Grandpa!" Yugi gasped as the old man collapsed on the floor again.
"The ambulance is on its way!" Ryo announced as he threw my cell phone back to me.
We heard laughter and looked up to see Kaiba standing in front of an open door that led to another room. "How's the old man feeling, hmm?"
When I looked at him, I could see his eyes weren't normal. They were dark and corrupted. This evil force had taken over him completely and that made him inhuman.
"Kaiba! You sleaze!" Joey snarled. "What've you done to him?!"
"We had a Duel, that's all", Kaiba replied calmly. "With each of us putting up our most valuable cards as the prize. But I guess playing against a champion, like myself, was just too much stimulation for the old fool."
"Kaiba, you should be ashamed of yourself!" Anzu growled angrily.
"It was fair", Kaiba said as he picked up a card from his pocket that was Solomon's Blue-Eyes White Dragon. "And look at the sweet prize I won."
He didn't even hesitate with his next move. He ripped the card into two, making all of us gasp in disbelief. I even heard Amaura, Mako and Yami gasp in shock. Why would Kaiba rip a card that he wanted so much? But the worst part was it was Solomon's precious card that got ripped; it was like ripping a heart apart.
"Grandpa's most treasured card!" Yugi gasped.
"Yes, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon is a rare and powerful card", Kaiba agreed as he threw the two pieces away like trash. "And this one will never be used against me."
"My Blue-Eyes White Dragon…!" Solomon gasped as he seemed to go down into another shock. "My… My treasure…!"
"Calm down, Solomon", Joakim told him as he rolled Solomon to the side. "Don't give yourself another heart attack."
"Grandpa! Hold on!" Yugi shouted before glaring at Kaiba with glassy eyes. "How could you do such a thing?!"
I saw Solomon was reaching into a pocket of his overall to pull out something. I helped him to get the thing out, which turned out to be his Deck.
"Yugi, here…", Solomon whimpered as I held his shaking hand to support him. "Take this…"
"Grandpa…?" Yugi mumbled confusedly.
"I built this Deck. I put my soul in these cards… And I taught you everything I know, Yugi…", Solomon grunted in pain. "Take them… Take my cards and teach him respect… Teach Kaiba respect for the heart of the cards, Yugi…"
"But, Grandpa, you need help! I've gotta get you to a doctor!" Yugi retorted.
"Sounds like an excuse", Kaiba spoke up. "Your friends can care for your grandfather…while you and I Duel. Unless you're afraid."
"Take him, Yugi!" Joey spoke up, making the boy turn to our friends. "We can take care of your grandpa while you take care of creepy Kaiba! Teach that rich spoiled brat what a real Duel's all about!"
"For your grandpa, Yugi!" Anzu nodded.
"The ambulance is on its way, Yugi", Ryo reminded him.
"I don't know…", Yugi hesitated.
"Don't give us that now, Yugi", Joakim shook his head.
"Trust me, you're one of the best players I've ever seen and you've got the Millennium Puzzle!" Joey added. "You can do this, Yugi! I know you can!"
"We all do", Anzu added.
"Believe in yourself and the strength you're carrying inside you", I told Yugi.
Yugi nodded in determination after we encouraged him and took Solomon's Deck. "Okay, Grandpa! I'll do it!"
"I know you will, my boy…", Solomon nodded weakly.
"Everyone, put your hands together", Anzu suddenly said. "And I'll mark us with a special sign."
We looked at her with confused eyes when she pulled out a black marker from her blazer. We did as she said and stood in a circle with our right hands stretched out. Anzu began drawing a pattern on the back of our hands and I quickly realized it was just a smile emoji.
"What gives, An?" Joey asked while looking at his part of the sign.
"It's a symbol of our friendship", Anzu explained. "So when Yugi's Dueling, no matter how tough it gets, he'll know that he's not alone. We're all right there with him!"
"But it's not enough", I shook my head as I took the marker from Anzu. "Yugi, give me your hand."
Yugi looked confused, but did as I told him. I drew a small scarab around in the middle of his hand.
"What's that? A bug?" Tristan questioned.
"No, it's a scarab", Joakim explained. "In Ancient Egypt, it was considered a lucky charm. So now, Yugi's extra protected."
Yugi stared at the scarab with curious eyes before smiling to me. "Thanks, Aura."
I returned the smile. "You've grown so much during the first year, Yugi. Show Kaiba who's the real man."
Tristan picked up Solomon gently on his back and hurried to the elevator with Joey, Anzu and Ryo. Joakim and I stayed behind with Yugi as Kaiba led us to a giant room that looked like a giant stadium. Kaiba introduced the stadium as a virtual playfield to play Duel Monsters and he said he was the one who invented it. He and Yugi got on two platforms that lifted them up to stand above the stadium. Just before the Duel could begin, I could sense the three spirits in the Millennium Items were ready to come out. I closed my eyes and allowed Amaura to take over my body.
XXXXXXXXXX – Amaura's POV
My brother Mako and I took over the twins' bodies as Yami took over Yugi's body for the Duel. There was nothing my brother and I could do; just cheer on Yami. A boy who only seemed to be around 11 years old and had long black hair, grayish-purple hair and tanned skin ran over to the stadium and called Kaiba "big brother". So Kaiba had a little brother the whole time?
We realized the stadium could bring Monster cards to life, thanks to the modern technology, but the Duel Monsters were still holograms, so they couldn't do real damage. Maybe it was the realistic hologram and attacks that took a toll on Solomon, since they acted so real.
Yami had the advantage at the beginning, but Kaiba countered back with great combos until he summoned three Blue-Eyes White Dragons to the field! He was the Duelist who owned three of four Blue-Eyes White Dragons!
"Now, my dragon, attack!" Kaiba commanded.
Since the first two Blue-Eyes White Dragons were restricted by Yami's Swords the Revealing Light Spell card, the third Blue-Eyes attacked and destroyed Yami's Dark Magician, causing damage to his Life Points.
Kaiba: 1000
Yugi: 900 – 400
"So, tell me, Yugi; how's your faith now?" Kaiba taunted. "On my next turn, all three Blue-Eyes White Dragons are free to attack. This game's over no matter what card you'll draw. You were never a match for me."
"Don't listen to him, Yugi!" I called, making sure not to call Yami's name and mix everything up. "The game is not over until the last card is played!"
"A real Duelist fights to the very end! You can do it!" Mako joined the cheering.
Yami seemed to hesitate, which was unlike him. I did notice during the entire Duel that Yami spoke like Yugi and it was all natural, like the other times whenever my lover came forward. Yami told me and Mako once that he only took over Yugi's body and made the boy look slightly taller and mature, but Yugi still had full control whenever it came to personal matters. Yami would only jump in when needed. So Yugi was the one in control now and he was hesitating.
"Come on, Yugi…", Aurora mumbled at the back of my head. "We're here with you. We're in this together."
Mako and I exchanged glances before looking at Yami again. He closed his eyes and seemed to meditate for a second before his ruby-red eyes snapped open with determination.
"Draw your last pathetic card, so I can end this, Yugi", Kaiba said a bit impatiently.
"My grandpa's Deck has no pathetic cards, Kaiba!" Yami smirked. "But it does contain…" He held up a card I had heard about a long time ago by Aurora and Joakim. "…The unstoppable Exodia!"
"Exodia the Forbidden One!" Mako exclaimed in surprise. "Solomon had the five parts of it the whole time?!"
I was shocked as well. Mako and I had heard about this Monster from Aurora and Joakim, but they didn't know who had all five parts. It was one of their dreams to find Exodia and see it just once.
Kaiba also got the shock of his life, looking frightened. "Impossible!"
"I've assembled all five special cards! All five pieces of the puzzle!" Yami shouted.
A black hole appeared on the field with a pentagram before the hologram of Exodia crawled out of it. He dominated the whole stadium and the three dragons seemed to shrink away from him.
Exodia the Forbidden One, Level 3: ATK 1000
"Exodia! It's not possible!" Kaiba still couldn't believe it as he looked quite pale. "No one's ever been able to call him!"
"Exodia… Obliterate!" Yami commanded.
Exodia collected his power in a sphere between his hands before he released a powerful beam of light that swallowed the three Blue-Eyes White Dragons. The dragons got destroyed and caused Kaiba's Life Points to drop to zero.
Kaiba: 1000 – 0
Yugi: 400
"Well done", Mako commented next to me.
I was relieved to see how both Yugi and Yami got out of the trouble in a pinch. Kaiba's little brother couldn't believe he had lost.
"You play only for power, Kaiba, and that is why you lost", Yami spoke up. "But if you put your heart in the game, there is nothing you can't do."
Kaiba still refused to believe he lost and that caused the dark aura around him to try corrupting him again. "B-But how…? How could I've lost to him?!"
"We need to cleanse his aura at once!" I told Mako and Yami. "It's trying to regain control over him!"
The two men nodded before we activated our Millennium Items to gain the power we needed. Mako and I held hands as we channeled our power to Yami. The Eye of Horus appeared in a glow on Yami's forehead.
"Kaiba! If you truly want to know, open your mind!" Yami called as a pharaoh and sent the cleansing power at the dark Kaiba.
Kaiba grew stiff for a second before the dark aura was gone and his eyes returned to normal. He collapsed on his platform and lost consciousness, making his little brother cry out in panic.
"There, Kaiba. Maybe now you will begin to see", Yami said before he made the platform lower down to the floor.
Mako hurried to Yami as I watched Kaiba's little brother run over to Kaiba's platform. He pushed a button that caused the platform to lower down since Kaiba was unconscious.
"Big brother! Big brother, wake up!" the little brother cried as he shook Kaiba's body.
I walked over to the boy and went down on my knees next to the Kaiba brothers. The little brother growled like a dog at me and shielded his brother. "Back off!" the boy snarled.
"Don't worry", I told him calmly. "I just want to make sure your brother is okay."
The little brother still growled until he calmed down and moved aside. I used Aurora's knowledge about medical attention and checked Kaiba's pulse. "He's fine, little one. He just needs some rest and he'll be okay in the morning."
"You sure?" the young Kaiba whimpered worriedly.
I nodded before I rubbed the top of his head with a warm smile. "Yes. Make sure to take good care of him, Little Kaiba."
The boy flinched softly at the nickname before he looked aside with pink cheeks and a pout. "My name is Mokuba…"
"Mokuba, look after your brother", I told him before I stood up and walked over to Yami and Mako who were waiting for me.
"Let's go and check Yugi's grandfather", Yami told us.
Mako and I nodded before we hurried out of the building, leaving the two Kaiba for now.

119 is the number in Japan when you need to call for an ambulance or the fire department. To call the police, the number is 110.
