Summary: During Shadow Kiss. Lissa Knows about Dimitri and Rose. Janine doesn't. Dimitri leaves with Tasha.

He's Going …

He was leaving me. Leaving me to be with Tasha.

But I can't get myself to feel anything but hope for her, this is what she wanted and she didn't know that I loved Dimitri. But him, I felt anger and pain in my chest, trying to consume me whole. I ran to Lissa, I knew she would give me the comfort I needed right now. As Lissa opened I fell into her arms crying my eyes out.

"Rose, Rose what's wrong?" Her voice laced with worry.

"He's leaving me." My sobs uncontrollable as Lissa stroke my hair comforting me. "He accepted her offer." I was starting to regain composure when something that he said dawned on me. "He wasn't going to tell me, he was just going leave."

And with that I jumped up and ran out of her room in a fury. I ran and ran until I met my target. He hadn't seen me coming and with all the force I could muster I slapped him hard across the face. He looked at me in shock.

"Were you even going to tell me?" He caught on to what I was saying now.

"Would it have been better?" His voice heavy with emotion. "But don't hurt Tasha Rose she doesn't know why." That earned him another slap to the face.

"How dare you think that. I would ever hurt Tasha. I look up to her more than I do you. She deserves happiness. But I pity her that it comes from you." I stormed he's going away and wasn't even planning on saying goodbye. What's the point of loving a man who was just gonna leave. I was an arse thinking he would stay with me. What was the point in dreaming that one day I could have a happy life with someone like that. Worst part was I heard it from my mother. You know her Janine Hathaway, the fountain of sensitivity.

"Looks like your going to have a new mentor Rose." She ran up to me and my jaw dropped it was the only thing I was capable of doing.

"Wh..what d..do you m..mean?" I stuttered, I felt like I was about to cry. "Don't be a spoilt Brat Rose he will be happy with Tasha"

And she just left before I could utter another word. Which is why I walk down to the hall of the guest housing at St. Vlads now, going to to someone I knew had been waiting for me since I first met him. And the one place that would bring back the old Rose. I knocked on his door.

"Little Dhampir…." Before He could utter another word I crashed my lips to his. He deepened it, sliding his tongue along my lips begging for access, which I gladly accepted. My hands Found their way into his hair as he shut the door behind us and I felt my self change. And along with the door I blocked out all thought of him and planned on never seeing him again. All I wanted was to carry on my forever with… …..Adrian.
