"Today, we are going to 'ave somezing more cultured for breakfast," Spy said one morning to the more early-rising members of his team: Engineer, Scout, and Sniper.

"What d'ya mean, Spah?" Engineer asked.

"I 'ave managed to procure some 'ollandaise sauce mix and ze ozzer necessary ingredients for eggs benedict."

"That sounds mighty fine, Spah. I could give ya a hand if ya like," Engineer said.

"Zhat would be razzer helpful, laborer," Spy said.

"Whatever you guys do, I'll eat it as long as it's edible," Sniper said, taking a slurp of his coffee.

"You are so charitable, mon cher," Spy muttered.

Scout just yawned and plopped his head down on his arms, folded in front of him on the table.

"Well, that sounds like agreement t'me," Engineer said.

Spy nodded and started pulling ingredients off the shelves and out of the fridge: English muffins, eggs, Canadian bacon, and the all-important pouch of hollandaise sauce mix. "Engineer, if you would be so kind as to 'andle the eggs, I can do ze rest."

"Sure thing," Engineer said.

While Engineer busied himself with making the eggs, Spy popped some of the muffins in the toaster and turned the toaster's knob to the appropriate setting.

Spy then started making the sauce, altering the recipe slightly based on past experiences. Due to this, and his preoccupation with the Canadian bacon, he didn't realize that there was something odd about the way Engineer was making the eggs.

So Spy was appalled when he looked over and discovered that Engineer was simply frying the eggs. "You crétin! What are you doing with ze eggs?"

" 'M fryin' 'em," Engineer replied without turning from the pan. "D'you have the muffins ready yet?"

"Non. But why are you frying zem? You are supposed to poach zem!"

"Not th'way I've always made 'em," Engineer said.

The toaster popped up and Spy was momentarily distracted. "Uncultured backwoodsman," Spy muttered under his breath. Engineer pretended not to hear him.

Eventually Spy and Engineer were able to get the food finished; by that time, the rest of the team had sat down at the table.

Nobody said anything about the fried eggs.
