Story for castielslittleangel's challenge for crossovers of Harry Potter and a tv show. Hope you enjoy it as I've worked hard on it!

Aang stopped in front of the large school, still confused why he was there. Katara had told him it was a wonderful place that taught more about controlling the elements, even though he was nearly perfect at every element.

Sokka and Zuko, along with Toph and Iroh, had also agreed with her and had told

him to go and completely perfect every element.

It doesn't look like anything special, he thought as he scrutionized the school

grounds. He saw several other kids in robes walking towards the entrance, chattering

excitedly about some topic that they all greatly enjoyed. He sighed, then headed towards the enrtrance of the school.

He saw several kids staring at his tattoos, but he didn't pay attention to them. He was completely used to it by now. He saw a teacher sorting students into four groups by means of a talking hat, which slightly freaked him out. To Aangs amazement he saw that the four groups had mascots that looked...strangely familiar to the animals he was used to.

The teacher looked confused when she saw him, then asked over the loud voices of the other kids what his name was. "Aang," he said simply. She seemed to be waiting for something, then after an awkward moment she asked, "Your last name, please?"

What on earth is a last name? he asked himself. "Just Aang," he said. She unraveled the long scroll she held in her hands, looking quickly through all of the names, and after several minutes she finally stopped searching and said hurridly, "You're not on the list, dear. And if you're not on the list...then, well...I'm sorry."

Aang was even more confused then he had originally been. He left feeling puzzled, then threw his glider into the air and jumped up towards it, gliding into the air.

When he saw Katara and the others he landed lightly, then started to ask a boatload of questions when he saw that they were barely keeping in thier laughter.

"This was a joke, wasn't it?"

He was answered by a burst of continous laughter. And he couldn't help but smile a little despite himself.
