Hey guys! So, This is Kainora's (Jinora+Kai) first kiss! I know I had confusion before with the whole song lyric problem. That was really emberessing! But, It's fixed now! Thanks to those who reminded me of that! comments are always appreciated, but please no hate! Were mostly all friends!
Kai's POV
"Jinora?" I asked. We, my best friend and I, were sitting in the library in the eastern air temple. Her family had taken a big trip there. I was more less dragged along then invited, but I don't think Pema minds. Tenzin, on the other hand turned red in the face when Jinora brought me along. It was scary, but really entertaing at the same time. I was bored out of my mind. Jinora has done nothing but read the whole time. It's killing me.
"Yes Kai?" Jinora said, not even looking up from her book.
"I'm bored." I say with a sigh. I'm leaning on my elbow, possibly looking at a book that was lying on the table. Jinora is holing the book up in front of her face. She sighs and puts the book down.
"What's wrong with your book?" She asks, I don't know why but she sounds really annoyed.
"Nothings wrong! I'm just sick of looking at books!" I practically yelled. I didn't mean to yell, and especially not at her, but I guess I maybe sort off did. She looked taken aback by me yelling, and a little hurt.
"Well maybe if you'd just read the books instead of looking at the pictures you would not be bored!" She said, both of our voices growing in volume.
"Well, maybe the words aren't interesting either! Some people just don't like to read, Jinora!" I said. " We cant all be smart, funny, and know every thing! We cant all be beautiful learning machines! We aren't all even smart enough to know HOW to read these books!" I said. Then I relised what I'd said and stopped my self from ranting on. "Oh my gosh, I'm really sorry Jinora." I say. I didn't even relies I had stood up until i sat down. I put my head in y hands and rested them on the table. It seemed like along time before either of us spoke.
"You...You really think I'm all those things?" I heard Jinora ask. She sounded stunned, like it was impossible that anyone could call her beautiful, or funny, or smart. I blushed.
"Well, Yeah. Only 'cause it's true." I stammered. Jianora only smiled and closed her book.
"Come on." She said. "It's almost time for bed." Jianora got up put her book and mine in her bag. We silently walked down the hall. Neither of us said anything until Jianora spoke up. "Kai, If you want, I mean, if it would be more enjoyable for you, we can visit the sky bison tomorrow. Instead of the library." I smiled, which then she smiled as well.
"Really! Oh, Thanks Jinora! Thanks a lot!" I said excitedly. I pulled her in to a hug, but when I didn't let go when she did. I only pulled back a little. She was smiling brightly. I decided to do something I had only ever dreamed about doing. I tilted my forehead twords hers and whispered, "Thanks Jinora." Before lightly pressing my lips to hers. I pulled away completely after a second and started down the hallway. "Thanks Jinora!" I yelled back, before I broke in to a run down the hallway, looking forward to tomorrow.
So, What'd you think? I know it was a little short, and the sky bison thing was questionable, but, I think I did Okay. Let me know! But, no hate, please!
