Toad!

Tsubaki was a beautiful princess; her father wanted her to marry. Because Kikyou had married like a good girl.

Kikyou, Kikyou, Kikyou, it was always about Kikyou! She wasn't Kikyou she was Tsubaki!

"Ugh! 'Kikyou does this, why don't you do this?' don't they understand I'm not Kikyou!" she exclaimed to herself.

Suddenly, a toad hopped into view. "I'm trying to think, shut up," it demanded, its voice was…surprisingly human. And seeing this is a fairy tale, Tsubaki was in no way shocked that the toad talked. Only a little offended it had been so rude.

"And you are?" she asked.

"Prince of Ushitora, the name's Renkotsu, I got turned into a toad by some bitch because I didn't want to marry her," he explained. "And apparently, my true love has to kiss me so I can turn back, psh," he added.

She laughed a little too. But you know the power of love and stuff compelled her to pick him up in her hand. "Well, maybe, just for kicks I'll try it out, you don't look…too filthy," she informed him. She then planted a kiss on the toad cheek.

Suddenly, the toad-Renkotsu began glowing, she threw him down and he landed in the water, reemerging as a rather disgruntled looking, grown man. He stepped out of the pond and walked over to Tsubaki.

"What did you do that for?"

"I reacted as any normal human would," she replied standing up to face him.

He narrowed his eyes. "Oh, thank you," he muttered sarcastically.

Tsubaki smirked. "Do you think you could help me out?" she asked. "My father wants me to get married, but…I don't want to," she started.

He held up a hand. "I'll only help if you marry me."

"Okay," she agreed in her haste to continue her sentence. Then she smacked her palm against her forehead. "I didn't…"

Hey! This is a fairytale; you HAVE to marry him.

And they got married, and they didn't live happily ever after until the wedding night. Then everyone was happy. Ohhh yeah.

THE END!
