Chapter: Prologue: Nayla Nova Fury
…..
…..25 Years Ago: …..
…..
Furya was a planet where the climates were harsh yet beautiful to gaze upon. Outside the planet's atmosphere, staring at Furya from space, the planet was lush with vegetation and bodies of water.
The houses and buildings on Furya were built out of stone or marble. Some of the buildings appeared to be castles, while other buildings were regular size homes. Everything made out of stone was very well detailed. The architecture on Furya was detailed and neat. Everything about the planet brought awe to any stranger of the planet. Although it was the inhabitants that awe strangers to the planet the most.
With the planet climates harsh, the species on the planet evolved to adapt. The species that roamed the planet were mostly predators. Many species would creep through the night, and little would move through the day. Yet it was the human beings known as Furyan that were the true rulers on the planet.
The Furyan race were known to be a race that had powerful traits, such as speed and strength. Traits that were powerful and inhuman. The traits would include high stamina, quick recovery process, and high senses. Usually their senses were similar to animal senses, which made Furyans to be seen as animals at times due to their nature to have an animal side inside of them that they controlled very well.
Furya was a planet where the inhabitants were a powerful, superior race.
The society on Furya was content. Classification was evident, but no one pointed out their superiority over the other. Everyone knew who was the Alpha Furyan and who wasn't. The Alpha Furyan were usually leaders on Furya.
There was a ruler that ruled over all of the Furyan race, the ruler of the planet Furya. The ruler was someone to keep order and made sure that conflicts did not happen, to handle situations with strong leadership. The Alpha ruler and his mate, his wife and queen, were known as the strongest couple on the planet. There was a time that the wife gave birth to a baby that everyone celebrated and awed over.
The news of the baby girl born from the king and queen of Furya was spread throughout other solar systems. The baby girl was known to be the princess of Furya. With a decision, the ruler and his wife named their baby girl—Nayla Nova Fury.
When the baby was born, an Elemental by the name of Aereon had suddenly made an appearance onto the planet to welcome and congratulate the Furyan couple. Yet at the same time, Aereon also arrived at the planet to warn the ruler that danger was coming to the planet. The Furyans were stubborn and did not believe that they could be taken down so easily; thus, not paying much mind to Aereon's warnings.
The Elemental Aereon continued to warn the Furyans, but she was ignored. Soon, Aereon found herself glide across the air and hover nearby the crime that contained the newborn princess of Furya. As Aereon's eyes came to rest on the baby girl, a smile came onto Aereon's lips.
Before Aereon had made her presence known to the Furyns, her people and she discovered about another prophecy. The prophecy was that two Furyan babies would live, however, one of the babies would be the Beauty of the Furyan race. The baby would carry the beauty that the Furyan race had to offer.
As Aereon stared down at the newborn princess named Nayla, Aereon knew that this was the baby that would be the second baby to live. This was the baby that would be the beauty of the Furyan race.
As the day disappeared, another one began to start, Aereon stared up at the sky and noticed a comet shape make way through the Furya atmosphere.
"It is them. The Necromonger are here." Aereon whispered as she glided on a breeze before she teleported herself back into the princess of Furyan bedroom.
The bedroom was fit for a princess. It was large and was decorated for royalty. Aereon walked over to the crib and stared down at the sleeping baby girl with a small frown.
"The suffering that you'll feel in the future will be of your people that you'll never have the chance to rule." Aereon said softly, stepping away from the crib to glide back over to the balcony.
Aereon stood on the balcony and watched as the Necromonger began to storm throughout the Furya planet in waves. The Furyan people began to attack as they knew that the Necromonger were not welcome and were not here to make peace.
The door to Nayla's bedroom slammed open which caused Aereon to whirl around in her spot to watch Nayla's distress mother, the Queen of Furya, come running into the bedroom and up to the crib.
"They have come."
"Yes, they have. I have told you that it was going to happen, but you didn't heed my words." Aereon said calmly as she stood near the balcony. She walked over towards the crib where Nayla was stirring awake from her slumber.
"Take her. Take her and make sure she is safe. Make sure she understands who and what she is. That she was a Furyan, one that came from the head of the Furyan race. Please, make sure she will be safe until she learned enough to survive on her own free will." The Queen picked Nayla up and wrapped her up in a blanket.
The Queen obviously knew that this was going to be the end, but she didn't want it to be the end for her daughter.
The Queen gave one last hug and kiss on Nayla's forehead before she held Nayla out to Aereon, who took the baby into her arms and made sure the baby was secured in her arms. Before Aereon gone away, the Furyan Queen pulled off two necklaces from her neck and placed them around Nayla. The two necklaces had a small Hellhound fang hanging off them.
"Live strong, Nayla. Your father and I love you so very much."
The baby Nayla began to cry as if she knew that this was going to be the last time that she was ever going to see her mother and her family again. The Elemental disappeared just as Necromongers came bursting into the bedroom.
…..
The Elemental traveled across the land, getting far away from all the chaos that she left behind her. She glided to the pod that she came to the planet in with another one of her kind. As Aereon was going past a large house with stone columns in the front, she caught sight of the Necromonger Lord Marshal Zhylaw step out of the stone column house. She hid behind a tree, peeking around the tree to watch the Lord Marshal make his next move.
The Necromonger Lord Marsh was the one that had caught Aereon a couple weeks ago and asked her for a prophecy, or else he would destroy her people. She had told him about the Furyan race and how a male Furyan would be the downfall to the Lord Marshal in the future. She did not think that the prophecy would make Zhylaw come to Furya and destroy the population so that the prophecy couldn't come true.
When the Lord Marshal vanished from the area, Aereon was curious about the house he left. She walked into the house and began to roam around until she came upon a room where a freshly born infant with his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck, laid in his crib.
On the crib headboard was an engraved name in bold letters.
Richard B. Riddick.
Aereon saw that the infant was moving around, trying to stay alive. Aereon was struck with realization that this was the other baby that was to survive. That this was the male Furyan that would be the downfall of the Lord Marshal Zhylaw. The baby being alive also showed that the baby was an Alpha Furyan, especially to be able to survive strangulation from his own cord.
She moved closer to the crib and began to pull the cord away from the baby's neck, saving the male Furyan baby. She picked him up and held him in her other arm. She glanced between the two babies in either of her arms, thinking how the second prophecy said that two Furyan babies would come off the Furya planet alive.
With this accomplish, Aereon walked out of the house and vanished in the breeze of the wind to begin to glide away from the chaos behind her.
…..
When Aereon made it back onto the small ship, she set the coordinates to head back to her home planet. She walked over to a cot and placed the two Furyan babies inside. As Aereon was about to walk away, she paused in her spot as she took notice of something interesting.
The male Furyan baby named Richard B. Riddick was on his stomach and his head was turned toward Nayla. He managed to lift his left arm up and dropped his tiny hand against the side of Nayla's cheek. Nayla eyes were on Riddick and Riddick appeared to let out a coo toward Nayla, who in return, cooed back.
"They are already making a connection. A bond is being formed between them. Amazing." The other Elemental that accompanied Aereon on the trip, appeared beside her and stared at the babies with her.
"It appears that these two were destined to be with one another."
…
…Years Gone By: …..
…
Time gone by and Aereon dropped Riddick off at a couple's home before she left to head back to her home planet. She was only meant to help and raise Nayla to a certain age, for she could not handle two Furyan at the same time.
The years began to fly by, Nayla began to grow in not just age, but other areas in her life. She began to show that she was the Beauty of the Furya race. At times, Aereon felt that Nayla was carrying the whole Furyan race within her.
At sixteen years of age, Nayla informed Aereon about a dream that she had where a woman named Shirah appeared. The woman had placed a glowing hand on Nayla's chest in the dream, and when Nayla woke up, she had a glowing handprint on the right side of her chest, just above her breasts. The Furyan woman in Nayla's dream explained to Nayla that the glowing handprint was known as the 'Wrath of the Furyans.' it was the suffering of all the Furyan race that could not escape the Necromongers attack.
The promise to Nayla's mother made Aereon to sit Nayla down and told the sixteen year old all about Furya. Aereon told Nayla that she was the princess of Furya, and that Nayla came from a strong bloodline of Furyan Alphas. Toward the end, Aereon told Nayla that there will come a time where Nayla would come to find her purpose.
…..
At the age of twenty, Nayla got the urge that she had to leave the Elemental planet, Quintessa. She was thankful for the Elementals for their hospitality to allow her to stay on their planet and raise her, even though Nayla became stubborn as she aged and she would let out the animal side sometimes.
When Nayla took her leave, she found herself explore various planet systems.
During her travels, Nayla could not help but get into trouble with the law. It was not her fault that men tried to come onto her, but she had to admit that she could had gone easy on a few of them. The ones that she hadn't gone easy on were the ones that would most likely never step out of their homes again.
Nayla ended up being caught twice by mercs and put into two slams. The first slam that she was put into was Crematoria, which escaping the planet was not the easiest or fun. She had to hide underneath a floorboard of a cargo ship the whole time. Then the second slam she got put into was Slam City. She could say that the slam was fun up to the point she wanted to leave. She managed to escape the slam by going through the ventilation system and then stole a small merc ship.
When Nayla turned twenty-five, she had disguised herself to board a transportation ship known as the Hunter-Gratzner. She was put inside a container and hooked up with tubes, which supposed to put her in cryo-sleep for the trip, but there was one problem with that.
Nayla had a primitive side—the animal side—which made her to stay awake and alert. Her senses were on high alert, keeping alert of her surroundings.
The trip was to be a long one, but she did not think that the trip would turn out to be a horrid one.
