SUMMARY:
It's Christmas time again...once again Gibbs finds himself with memories from years in the past...
BLUE MEMORIES...
When I close my eye

When you were standing next to me

And all the words you whispered in the night
Christmas was a week away and it was hard to believe how many years had gone by since Gibbs had lost Shannon and Kelly.
Now Gibbs was on the couch and could feel the tears that he never let anyone see.
As he lookied through a photo album. An album of pictures with him, Kelly and Shannon.
When Gibbs closed his eyes he could still see Shannon and then he would think about Kelly to.
Still remember holding Shannon at night after they put the gifts under the tree on Christmas Eve, knowing they would be woken up early the next morning.
She would laugh at the things he whispered to her long after Kelly had gone to bed and after they had laid down in their own bed.

One photo had become very faded...
A photo taken of him and Shannon on their wedding day, both of them smiling. They never knew their lives would be torn apart years later...
When Shannon testified...
When her and Kelly were murdered...
He had gotten revenge, but it didn't bring his girls back. He had lost them and for a long time after they were killed...
He himself had felt so lost...alone. Then eventaully he married again...after his second marriage ended in devorce.
He had married twice more and gotten the same result.
It seemed he was destined to live the rest of his life alone...with just memories.

Gibbs remembered all the happy times he had with Shannon and then after Kelly was born.
He had been a Marine, but he remembered the times when he was home with Shannon and Kelly.
Those had been alot of happy times and he had to admit...if he thought about it, there had been sad times to.

Finally Gibbs put the album away and returned to the couch. He laid down, but he sleep didn't find him and so he just laid there with the memories of his girls...
Shannon and Kelly
It was the same every year...missing his girls. The memories that always found him...
Tomorrow he would be down in his basement finishing the last of the wooden toys he made for kids at Christmas time every year.
Tomorrow...another day and another year without Shannon and Kelly.
