It was supposed to be a good day.
Sure, it was probably too much to ask for, right after the whole Chen thing.
But still.
It was a cloudy and dreary day, so what could be better than a video game session with homemade pizza made by Zane?
It would have been perfect, yes.
Would have.
A flash boomed outside of the house, a crackling noise following seconds after.
A light patter from outside the safe walls of the Bounty told everyone of the storm that had finally reached Ninjago.
Zane was in the kitchen, preparing the dough for the pizza. Kneading it between his hands, he thought about all the recent events.
He had died, he knew that much.
The rest were fuzzy memories of him helping PIXAL to rebuild him, then someone by the name of Ronin taking him to Chens island, for a fee of course.
The memories of being alone and lost in that damp and cold cell were enough for anyone to get shivers down their spine.
A sudden crack snapped Zane out of his thoughts, his head whipping around to see that the Bounty's sail had been struck by lightning... sails made out of cloth... flammable cloth...
Zane immediately dropped the dough on the ground, the pizza was the least of his concerns at the moment. Kai and Lloyd had run up as well, just in time to see the mast of the ship catching on fire.
Kai began screaming down at the bottom of the ship, telling everyone to get out now!
Lloyd was standing next to him, staring at the mast in a weird mixture of horror and wonder.
Nya came out first, her slightly annoyed expression hardening into one of determination and fear, calling down to Cole and Jay.
Then, they began to fall.
Of COURSE Nya and Jay had installed safety alerts on the Bounty, so that if there was ever an emergency the Bounty would immediately shut off.
Of course the Bounty was around 32,000 feet in the air.
While the rain was clearing up, (Zane suspected Nya had something to do with it) Lloyd had finally come to his senses and was running down below to grab Cole and Jay. When he returned, only Cole was with him.
"WHERE IS JAY?" Kai yelled, desperate to be heard over the sound of the wind as they fell, and the roaring flames still raging on.
Cole quickly grabbed onto something, then, louder than Kai, yelled, "I DON'T KNOW, HE LEFT A BIT BEFORE THIS ALL HAPPENED." He had an intense expression of fear and shock.
"BRACE FOR IMPACT!" Nya screamed, gripping her brother and her brother doing the same.
Everything was in slow motion. Cole was frantically looking for his best friend, then did the most stupidest thing that day.
He ran back inside.
"COLE NO!" Zane yelled, but his voice could not be heard over the wailing of the wind.
Once inside, Cole ran to Jay's room and found him on his bed, clearly freaking out.
"JAY COMEON, WE'RE GONNA BE ALRIG-"
The horrible sound of cracking and breaking, and his vision faded to black.
Yes, I know i should be updating Dumplings. Do I have no ideas for that story at the moment? Yes. I'm sorry, as soon as I get an idea for it I'll update it, i hate authors who leave stories unfinished for years. In the meantime, I'll be starting some new stories and such. With lots of angst. And maybe some fluff. Enjoy!
