A Kiss
How hearts will bend and break
At knifes point they learn to shatter
I shall not tell you of my deepest
Desires hidden within
You are my only cause
I fight for you and hope
One day you'll rip my mask away
And see that I am broke
Beyond recognition we can dazzle together
Hiding behind sparks of life so we are not seen as dead
I shall never reveal how I feel
I know I you are not mine
But always know forevermore
That I would give you everything
Just to see you shine.
I shan't reveal how much it burns
To see you with another
You shall never know how deep the knife
You plunged into my back
We never realise what we have
And never will we do
Because we always chase those dreams
We had as little fools.
And broken in the shattered glass
We stand at the end
The aftermath of realised dreams
Not as sweet as we imagined
Then shall I walk up to you
And show my feeble heart
And surely you shall finally
Show me how foolish I was
To hold onto a dream, that never would be realised
And blood shall mix with glass as you plunge your knife deeper
Love is our destruction, love is our deliverance
And in the end our devastation shall be realised with a kiss.
