A young elfling, Legolas Greenleaf, in fact, has been sucked from his forest home by a magical power he can't explain. He is sent to Shillito park, in Lexington, KY. After being whisked away to the police station by Millie Anderson, Legolas must survive an orphanage, while trying to find his way home. He makes friends with a boy named Levi. Together, Legolas will go home. ICOIP

Chapter 1

Out of the Wood (Prologue)

A young elf could be seen running in the forest of Mirkwood. This young elf was the elf prince, Legolas. And this is where our story starts. With a 15 year old elfling running through Mirkwood. A 15 year old elf is like a 4 or 5 year old human, because of the way they age. Another young elf, Legolas' friend Tauriel, was in hot pursuit of him.

As Legolas ran, his brain began to spin. He decided to sit down for a moment, for his head to clear. He was sitting on a stump, wondering if Tauriel would catch him, when he felt like he was falling. Everything went black for the elf. Legolas was terrified. He knew his energy got the better of him often, and he played games that covered too large an area, but this had never happened before. And after this, Legolas remembered no more.
